I’m happy to read that Naruto is potentially really intelligent in this. A lot of people avoid thing’s like that fearing Mary Sues but frankly I think protagonists NEED to be special.

I really like how Jiraiya is literally living up to his role as a master to Naruto, a godfather maybe too.

Also I like how you had Hinata bring up Neji’s past and Naruto prompting her to elaborate.

As a note to anyone looking to read this. The summary is a bait and switch, this story focuses on the minor character in the series making them stronger versions of canon Naruto and Sasuke at the same point in time. Eseentially though this stories main focus seems to bein in making Hinata and Sakura rivals to Naruto and Sasuke canon counterparts including to the point of surpsassing them.

Are you freaking kidding? Did you just wast Naruto's entire training trip, the three years for funijutsu he can't use and a sage mode he also can't use and hasn't finished learning!? He's also dumber, you literally changed everyone and than copied the shitty Naruto from canon after time skip with techniques he can't use and knowledge that's useless? What exactly are you playing at? I've given far too much benefit of the doubt but this story really has been about making the rest of the rookies on Naruto and Sasuke's level but leaving them the same.

Your buffing everyone else with rediculous power ups and nerfing Naruto from his canon self?

He's suddenly getting stupider again.

He isn't allowed to learn a fighting style or a sword style because magically he's better without learning one. Doesn't take into account he's worse at figting hand to hand and with weapons than everyone he's faced.

His training for a year has been in SITTING STILL to prepare him for Senjutsu despite him having mastered that in canon withint two weeks. All the while everyone else is getting ton's stronger and Hinata is going to awaken a super version of Homura's power

He has Hashirama cells implanted in him but his healinf factor is same as in canon from it's nerfed version earlier in the story. Alongside that he doesn't have Makuton despite EVERYONE else who has Hashirama cells having gained Makuton. Let's IGNORE the fact that Naruto WAS HASHIRAMA in YOUR OWN STORY!

Despite being a Jinchuriki his chakra is only kage level. When the likes of Kisame and Nagato having Biju levels of chakra and Sakura along with Tsunade storing chakra to whatever level you decide they have when they finally use it.

He still spams clones to fight and now all of a sudden needs clones to make a rasengan when he learnt to make it by himself earlier.

Kurama is doing his best to make him insane.

He get's a Fuinjutsu sword he doesn't know how to use since he doesnt' know how to use a sword AND he's not allowed to let ANYONE SEE it!?

He and Jiraiya somehow share nerfs and the idiot ball as they open up the secrets to Uzoshio and let Kabuto stroll in steal shit and walk out.

So while everyone else is getting crazy power ups Naruto's not only not training but continuously having nerfs applied to him. The part that annoys me isn't that Naruto's getting major nerfs since I'm pretty sure that the others are strong enough to make up for it. He's improving in various areas though not very well since he can't do jack shit with what he's learnt so far save for making Hiata strogner by giviner her his chakra (like she needs more power ups at this point). The part that pisses me off is that you keep telling me in the story that he's strong or getting stronger despite the fact that you're SHOWING me that's not the case! How is that good writing? The narrative and illustration are opposites?

This story is becoming really hard to read. It's essentially Super!Everyone from the rookie 12 except for Naruto and Sasuke. Those two are still working their way through their canon ability sets, I assume. Given how with everyone save for Naruto and Sasuke you've gone both show and tell about their new powers, abilities and super-weapons but with Naruto and Sasuke all you've done is tell.

Am I right in thinking that Naruto is FINALLY trying to get some skills outside of relying entirely on his Kage Bunshin numbers to beat opponents (even if he uses them more tactically now)? What's the whole thing about him being a Jinchuriki so having a perfect body but being slower than Sasuke and Lee and not as strong as Sakura, Choji etc? I thought you were using that to explian why he wasn't training or learning fighting styles because he had some ability where he didn't need it but it's like you contradict yourself especially when Naruto isn't doing anything progressive or interesting in the story.

Naruto is always training and we've yet to see him fight outside of the begining when it was just canon Naruto using his clones better or when his chakra was sealed. To me it seems both Naruto and Sasuke's growth is being ignored compared to everyone else despite Naruto having most of the screen time. Now we have Hinata being the heiress of some super oc clan and the whole Naruto is hosting Asura thing but that means nothing thing as well. It's all like one massive training arc that doesn't end with far too many main characters.

Alongside that your writing is redundant as hell. Heck it'd be like 10-20% of your story is people praising Naruto's charisma and strength of will despite the influence of his charisma never having been shown. You say the others are training harder because of Naruto's charisma but that's never shown since each character has their own personal backstory that makes them want to train and start doing so before any of Naruto's influence. Naruto's supposed strength of will is also a joke with him constantly looking for reassurance and then doing nothing. Heck the whole "No, don't bother trying to save me after my fight with Kisame and just let me die! Woe is me!" is baffling. Then there's how apparently he's helping Hinata get over her issues despite how often you've shoen that Hinata's the one getting over her own issues without Naruto's influence making a deifference, again. Though you have shown how Naruto needs a pep-talk from pretty much everyone to just continue living.

When are you going to actually show the premise of this story of Naruto being the ripple that changes those around him instead of just saying it but showing the opposite? Heck how is Naruto going to become Hokage who's supposed to be the strongest when everyone is growing so much faster than him and he was still catching up to on everything he hadn't learnt?

Last issue I have here is the female/male interactions. Every guy here is a simp, everything from girls slapping the guys for simething they didn't do and the guys being all smiles to how submissive all the guys are in conversations. It's like they suddenly have no personality and turn into servants. The guy to guy interaction is just them cussing each other out and the girl to girl interaction doesn't exist in the story.

To sum it up, too many Super! characters that are fleshed out. Naruto is all empty words from his descriptions and the lack of there being anything he actully does or accomplishes. The character interaction gives priority to maintaining only the personalities and strengths of female characters as priority.

Recomendations: Get Naruto to actually do something and figure out if you only want him to be strong through working with others and huge numbers of shadow clones or if he's strong enough to stand with his peers without Kage Bunshin and Kurama. Stop repeating how much Naruto has apparently changed everyone and actually show it happening for once. Drop the whole girl power advocate thing and support your characters as individuals. Sakura already had the greatest growth rate in the entire fandom surpassing the kage and mastering medic techniques in two years from near zero. Just because everyone else couldn't keep up doesn't mean everyone needs to match up the the utterly overpowering advantages Naruto and Sasuke were given in the series. It just makes Kishi's bad writing there worse. There's especially no need to turn Hinata into a frontline god level fighter for her to have value in the story either, and no you aren't a misogynist if all you're female characters aren't also the strongest fighters.

The original story Kishi wanted to write of Naruto was unrecognisably different. His publishers forced his hand to make something different, then to make an opposite rival which limited Naruto's character massively. Because Sasuke was highly competent than Naruto had to be incomptent.
Lastly, the pressure for female characters as powerful as Naruto and Sasuke despite the series being a shonen saw Sakura who hadn't bothered training before than and wasn't a bloodline user or a genius suprassing legandary kage like Tsunade in two years... Naruto and Sasuke needed a ton of buffs for that. Also the change of the ending of the story to include Kaguya a female as the most powerful being which also saw the introduction of Hagoromo, Asura and Indra.

That's all information as I recall it following the series as it came out. Still given how long I've been reading Naruto fanfiction and into the fandom because of it's potential might have had be picking up fanon or misinformation so check it out.

As for characterisation in fighting, I'm hoping you keep Naruto far away from his sub-human intelligence and incompetent canon self.

Bitterness can just be an avenuse of motivation but honestly in that situation you should have acknowledged that any effort you put into that relationship would lack value. It's good she ended it as it probably saved you from a lot worse that you'd allow to happen to yourself and your own development.

Well thought out a few spelling errors but nothing too distracting from the story I read this story and some people think Sasuke is just a villain in character roles well he’s not he’s not that simple sure his motives for killing Itachi are simple avenge the clan but as people who have read the source material Itachi’s motive for wiping the clan out is not cut and dry. Sasuke has more reasons to want Danzo dead than in the canon. Danzo the prick kidnapped and tried very poorly I might add to brain wash Sasuke’s teammate and ordered his older brother to slaughter the clan just so Danzo could obtain more power through Sharingans. Question why did Danzo not try use Shisui’s kotomatsukami on Naruto?

I KINDA agree with you rant at the end, but also disagree. I do agree that hiruzen is about as useless as can possibly be without being comatose for the entire series... But what gets me is the situation at the academy and naruto's treatment... Naruto is SUPPOSED to be a deterrent for war, he's supposed to be the one to keep the other jinchuriki from just walking in and slaughtering... But he's never trained... That makes NO SENSE at all.. It's said, because sarutobi "wanted him to have a normal childhood"... By what comparison? Also it would be kinda obvious quickly that wasn't going to happen..(so instead of creating LASTING, grudges or getting a "twisted world view" or even absolutely NO loyalty at all, to a village he really has no reason to be loyal too... The hokage should have gave up that delusion).

Naruto is essentially a WMD, it's not "favoritism" to make sure their "ultimate deterent" is both happy and trained! (and that's before you add on his heritage) ... The academy is also A MESS... The teachers seem to teach absolutely nothing of worth to their ninja lives(and apparently aren't any good at history either, considering the whole "spiral thing").. And expect the jounin senseis to do it, the senseis, expect the academy to have taught them up to a reasonable level and just advance them from there, but expect "teamwork", "strategy" and other basics from the jump... In short, both sides want the other to do their jobs and nobody is doing anything to fix the situation. (meanwhile the kids are caught in-between) Just an absolute MESS.

Had to stop it from Chapter 15 realized this story was not going to derail from canon was really excited about the story title figuring out eventually we split off from canon but did more of stupid little side trips that were very good but eventually got back on the road of canon

Danzo is KINDA a screw up but so is hiruzen.. They are BOTH caught in a past that doesn't exist anymore (the warring clans)... The other villages have "MOVED ON" even adopting tech.. The leaf can't seem to do thatI know the series want to draw parrells between the people, but sometimes they don't exist... Take naruto and sasuke... sasuke lost his entire family... (boo hoo)... Naruto lost his family, his clan, his NAME, his nation! There is NOTHING similar there. Naruto's family was PROTECTORS... Sasuke's WAS TRAITORS. I say itachi screwed up when he didn't kill sasuke (I would have... AND DO in ALL of my stories).

To be honest I dunno how irukia helped at all, he taught him nothing, he didn't keep the kids from picking on naruto... He didn't stop any bullying (which even IRL teachers do), He didn't tell any of the kids that, YES naruto was a clan heir (the symbol on all his clothes should clue anyone in, and he was in a class OF CLAN HEIRS) and that wasn't even a secret... He didn't tell naruto (or anyone) that the clone jutsu would never be possible since the kyuubi... Irukia actually did NOTHING.. (really, he barely did his job!) But then again, the third was pretty incompetent at his job too... This all SHOULD have "blown up in their faces"... You can tell it had a LOT (stupid amounts, really) of "plot armor".

"The Road to Ninja" actually showed what naruto SHOULD have been (although in that reality he should have been canon..and in canon he should have been menma). Logically. He threw away everything and everyone in that one.. But in canon he really has NOTHING TO LOSE. So it honestly makes more sense to get rid of your tormentors if you have NO STAKE IN THE GAME.

Never understood that on most of these stories.. Naruto NEEDS a reason to be with the leaf.. (Irukia as stated, doesn't cut it)... By cutting him off from everyone, the leaf essentially "seals it's fate"... If not from him himself, then others like him (there are 8 others and MOST of them don't like the leaf much) that naruto can just "walk away" from... Also another sticking point.. They want naruto to be a deterrent for war, and their "weapon" but he's never trained?.. How the hell is that supposed to work? If kumo went to war after the hyuuga thing, they'd be crushed even with naruto.

I've always wondered, "how did the third die"? I mean I saw the fight and everything but it made no logical sense... Why didn't the entire village FLOOD orochi? There was a barrier, but "they were fighting on a roof".. simply cave in the floor! Seems kinda idiotic nobody notices that!
