Firstly, June isn't a tragic character. I can only assume this is a copy and paste from when you spoke about Azula. Don't do that, because it makes the end notes make no sense. June isn't a tragic character so saying she is just doesn't make any sense.

And that brings me to the past two chapters. Naruto came off as the edgiest edge lord that edges beyond the edge of reason. He was edgier than the most edgy gamer tag. My point is there is a prevalent triehard feeling to it. In my opinion (I'm not saying its objective truth or the "right" way to think), you've tried too hard to make him cool and bad ass. Part of the issue is that you're a bit heavy handed in your attempts to convey his cynicism due to his partial immortality. The whole psychotic break here doesn't help.
