Words cannot Describe the feeling this invoked in me. I hate to say this was perfect but I can't think of another word to describe it. The descriptions were on point, the flashbacks weren't jarring and were executed flawlessly. Amazingly, you pulled of Weiss and Ruby's relationship well, they didn't feel ooc at all. Honestly, you get a Certified Frosty recommendation, for those rare pieces of literature to good to ignore.

That was so amazing and engrossing! Great piece and it managed to blend the physical action flowing into Weiss's thoughts and flashbacks perfectly, being equal parts vivid and emotional.

Holy shit. Weiss repeatedly saying Ruby's name like that got me in the heart. I had to stop reading for a bit. Ruby's got a nice future set up for them. May they be accomplished huntresses and be together forever.

Amazing, simply amazing. I just finished watching RWBY myself. These two are my favorites chara (besides from Ren and Nora, those two are hilarious), and I must say you captured them really well, even though we havent seen much of them yet. It's quite amazing how your Weiss felt very natural, considering, once again, we havent been shown that much of her yet.

This is the first time I've reviewed one of your works but I'd like to say now that I have thoroughly enjoyed all of them. The fact that you can write these at your pace but still produce such quality stories is amazing.

Personally, Ruby x Weiss (or White Rose or Candycane as the ship may be called) is my OTP of OTPs for RWBY so I have to fight down smiles when I read fluff about them. And Weiss is my favourite character so I love your inclusion of her in everything. The Ruby you write can also come off as really romantic at times, if I may describe her as such.

For this story in particular, I like how you explored the theme of few things truly belonging to Weiss. I'm not sure about that line about her having chosen her feelings for Ruby - personally, I like to think of them as having snuck up on her - so I interpret it as Weiss having chosen to accept or nurture these feelings of hers. Still, I really like the final line.

And one more thing - the issue of "lie, lay, laid" VS "lay, laid, lain". It's something that crops up a lot with many people. One "lies down on a bed", but "lays a hand on a book".

Goodness, this review got pretty long. Anyway, I look forward to your next fic with anticipation! :)

I expected some mindless "OMG Iuv ruby" but no, you displayed the emotions of the characters like a master, capturing their personalities like nobody else.
