I've read and enjoyed some of your stories before, but this one needed a serious dose of maturity. I'm not trying to be mean, just honest. The ending scene with Hope and Lightning was mostly good, but the idea of putting drunken stupidity on par with Renaissance artwork is one of the reasons why the future of this world is far bleaker than Nova Chrysalia's ever was. It just makes the whole thing seem like a complete waste; from one doomed world to another. There's no point in fighting for a future that's already drowning in the bullshit of the present.

This was really cute. I like how hope has grown past the pure idealist he used to be. When the story mentioned the nova chrysalia people just came to earth all at once, I kinda pictured a District 9 scenario (that would have been horrible). If you do write more, it would be great to go into those first years at earth, the tests they had to go through, finding each other, etc...

Fang's a genius. I vote that she becomes the queen of Earth.

Even though I prefer older Hope in the new world, I'm not opposed to him being physically 14 as long as he is mentally older. The idea of an older!Hope in a younger Hope's body is interesting because it takes a different spin on how Hope copes with the remnants of Bhunivelze's control. Gosh, even though he's like physically 17, Hope still retains the hotness and maturity of older!Hope here. It was great!
