I have to say this while it's fresh in my head: With future ideas, you should consider more carefully how crossover contents will be good for one another. This project is technically sound, but suffers heavily from a lack of care with the B ingredients: Zero no Tsukaima. Frankly, Toaru is getting a free pass to tour, gab, fax paus, and plunder as they please with absolutely no part of the setting or story plot making any huge or significant difference. As a thought experiment, wipe the important names of ZnT's characters and settings from the story and replace it with random real world names & landmarks. The result is that it's no difference at all. Louise doesn't matter, Saito doesn't matter, Kirche or anyone else are largely irrelevant, and the "plot" holds no real tension as Toaru is the opposite—it's OVERLY considered. Internal or external conflicts are solved almost as quickly as they're mentioned and done so while ZnT goes on without missing a beat or acknowledging any of the foreign agents in their midsts, kinda like a TV droning on as background noise while one studies or reads or plays a video game.

You may want to look again at the story and use it as a lesson in carefully balancing your story setting, your characters, and why one should be notably important and vital to the other. Good luck in your future works.

Here lies the Toaru Majutsu no Index Familiar of Zero crossover fanfiction; "HOPES and FEARS" it was an amazing story, with so much being covered in just 10 spectacular chapters. It's a shame that this story died, but not everything has a proper conclusion. Weather the author lost motivation or interest in either series is unknown.

Interesting fic. Bringing both Saito and another person into Familiar of Zero universe is pretty unique. The explanation on how Touma actually got here (besides the mysterious second portal) is well done, and shows some real thought into the mechanics behind the world. At first, I worried that the story would essentially have 2 stories running in parallel, with one story focused on Familiar of Zero, and another on Touma being rescued. However, I did find that the author eventually blended the stories together well, in a way that felt interconnected.

One thing that I did have some issue with was just how horrifically broken bringing such high-power characters into a universe can be. The level of someone like Mikoto, Accelerator, Stiyl, etc are so ludicrous that one of them would bring a great distortion to the world. Touma and Index are also just as destructive, but only against magical targets. But to have all of them together, working in an organized fashion leads to basically everyone in the initial Familiar of Zero universe not getting a chance to do much of anything. It's actually difficult to imagine what threat anyone could pose to this group (Myozmitnirn was utterly crushed by them), and if such a threat exists, what the point of having Louise or Saito around is.

We know that Othinus just wanted to return to her world. Well maybe in the next chapter or so, you could reveal that Halkeginia was her homeworld and that she is a long-lost twin sister of Louise. That would be an interesting family reunion. Please put up the next chapter as soon as possible. I LOVE IT!
