How did Ruby even defeat a full-fledged maiden anyways?

I feel like I'd have felt better if you'd killed both Pyrrha and Jaune rather than just one of them. Damn, this just begs the question: Who's next?

Okay I went into this fic with no real expectations and I have to admit it was pretty good. The fight scenes were really well written and I liked all the interactions between the teammates. You did a really good job of displaying their friendship. I think my favorite moments were the ones mainly shared between team RWBY. I will admit, I didn't really care for Ruby x Ren romance, but it didn't really take anything away from the story. Also, sometimes its just as important to write for yourself as it is for others, and if that's what you wanted write about then more power to you! Overall, I think you did a fantastic job and I will be sure to check out the sequel book to this fic.

The FEELS!
I only discovered this just before the finale of Volume 4 and I love it! Despite being made before Volume 3, I was amazed that you were able to capture the same atmosphere as that, even predicting a lot of things that happened.
I really like how you've used a popular ship as well as an underused one. Not a lot of people do that and stick to ones that are popular just for the sake of pleasing audiences.
That ending...wow. You weren't afraid to go to some dark places. I was a little worried due to the Healing Dust that was introduced and the fact that Pyrrha was saved, but you made sure we knew that nothing could save Ruby.
Overall, a fantastic story. I sort of wish that we got a Vytal Festival chapter instead of being told what happened. But keep up the great work. Now I have to move onto Book 2

Hot. Fucking. DAMN. That was intense. Every bit was enthralling and I couldn't stop reading from start to finish.

You know, reading this after volume 3 of RWBY, it's interesting how similar some of the ending is to the actual fall of Beacon. What with Cinder leading the attack and with grimm forces at her side. Ozpin seeming to have some sort of time altering fighting technique that glows green. Pyrrha dying (even if she came back), and a major character dying at the end, just Ruby in place of Pyrrha.

Pretty impressive for having been written what looks like before volume 2 came out.

In any case, great story, gunna start book 2 shortly, looking forward to it!

Is it bad that I want to wish and hope that because Ruby's body was incinerated so thoroughly I hope that no body not dead?!

DEAR GOD THE FEELS. I read the entirety of Blood Rose with no reaction, this shit had me in tears. Just read the first chapter of Blood Rose to understand, though it becomes an amazing story of redemption that wasn't, unfortunately, finished, nor do I think it will be. But still worth reading, it makes you see it from their point of view. Read to see who I mean by 'their'.
