This one was so special, and I like how you give us who are not Japanese or familiar with any of the customs observed by the Japanese people a glimpse into their world and traditions. April's new family will give her everything she needs to face the new year, and they will receive in return all the blessings she will bring to their circle. Lovely story, and the images you paint stay with me long after each chapter ends.

OK, I'm crying...! What a wonderful Christmas with the Hamato family and what a wonderful Christmas gift to end the story. You have an amazing gift that is so appreciated by those you share it with. It may be September as I write this, but, I swear, Christmas is in the air!

OMG, I loved that. Kraang Subprime faking being her friend always seemed weird to me, your version makes WAY more sense. It explains why April would put up with Irma's weirdness and why she would trust her with the turtle's secret. That was an awesome idea, I can't wait to see what April does next.

Oh, a komodo dragon, soo close to the snake the show turns her into. Nice one. That was dark, but certainly believable. A komodo's bite could easily cost someone a limb and even their life. I don't think they have venom though, the toxicity is caused by all the bacteria in their mouths because they're carrion eaters. Sorry, I'm a bit of an animal nerd. :)

Ooh, that idea with the onions was good. Raph can cry and let everything out with noone the wiser, or so he thinks. I love your version of April, sooo much better than the 2012 canon one.

Oh my gosh, I didn't even realize there was a part 2, lol. Don't I feel stupid. I love your stories, they're even better than some of the actual episodes. :) It was driving me crazy what Donnie might have been saying to April. Them throwing stuff was hilarious.

You clearly did your research on this. I went around for like, an hour looking for info on why they were pouring each other's tea because I'm a tea nerd and had to know.

One thing that confused me a bit though is how at some points you chose to describe the culture notes and other times you just dropped names. In that sense, April's knowledge level felt a tad inconsistent.

I can easily get behind this concept. It WOULD make more sense for the Kraang to steal someone's identity than try to slip by an entirely new one, after all.
