Anne-Marie Helstone chapter 1 . 9/11/2017
I wish I had something more insightful to say other than I like this oodles and oodles, but I lack any other words. I like this. A LOT.

I know this is a one shot but I would LOVE to see more. Even if it ends up being a small fic. Your writing is marvelous!
marshmallowdeviant chapter 1 . 4/26/2016

maraudergurl2010 chapter 1 . 3/18/2016
Forgive me for storming your stories page. But you are talented and this particular story is magical and I need to tell you so. :3 GAH! This idea is BEAUTIFUL. And lovely. And the idea that Sarah is an orphan and Jareth is a child-king rebuking adult manipulation is fascinating.

Obviously, greedy glutton that I am, I'm thinking, "Dang, this would make an awesome multichapter story..."

Not what this is, but still. I'm haunted by your imagery. Thanks for this!
Cherry Blossom Angel 18 chapter 1 . 5/4/2015
I'm reminded of a line from Pika-la-Cynique's Jareth "Well, squee" :) And rest assured I am most ardently squeeing right now, this was just so sweet, so cute, so, so, Squeeee! if this was a book I'd be hugging it to my chest and laughing. :)
Shadow131 chapter 1 . 7/31/2014
OMG, SQUEENESS. This was a great AU, it shows so beautifully the kind of tender relationship they could have with all the pretense stripped away. Oh my gosh but it was intensely beautiful.
StarViking chapter 1 . 5/3/2014

I double, triple checked that I was posting as myself, and yet... :

That "Guest" review right below this one was from me. I wanted to make sure you knew I read and loved it! So, second review, like second breakfast. ;)

Happy Christmas!
Guest chapter 1 . 12/18/2013
What a wonderful Christmas story! It made me smile and feel all Christmassy inside. :)

And well done with the challenge! I'm pretty sure there was some traveling going on there, and hence, a traveler to do it. ;) And I love Lisa Frank! And, oh, the Nothing. It seems like an endless battle to keep the Nothing at bay. (I toss that reference out now and then in real life and am always pleasantly surprised when people get it.)

And - gasp! - Lancelot is the secret keeper! I love that he's the secret keeper in this world, too! That was an extra special surprise!

I loved the progression of the letters as they got older. They sounded like kids in those first letters, and I love that he sent her drawings of his chicken and the goblins (and would love to see them - hint, hint). And I love those Yule birds! I wish they were real. :)

My favorite phrase, I think, is now "picking leaves from the bog with a dull stick". It just makes me laugh. And Sarah just totally got that, which speaks to how they really know quite a bit about each other from their letters over the years.

Oh, and to think, her new book could it be...? That's an interesting thought in an alternate reality!

Seasonally sweet and lovely. A perfect Christmas story. :)
xyz chapter 1 . 12/11/2013

I'll go read it again!

Thanks for sharing.
Ismira Daugene chapter 1 . 12/4/2013
This was so adorable! Loved reading it! And having a Jareth who grew up with Sarah is a nice change versus all of these "tortured soul" Jareths (I'm guilty of them too...)

Great job!
