Lilybud chapter 1 . 3/5/2016 Made a list while I was reading of all the awesome things I wanted to mention: * In the midst of thinking her adoptive son was leading her into the afterlife: What did she do to deserve Sherlock's bedside manner?! Heh, so true. * Sherlock would already have a bruise if he saw John. Not sure if you saw the 3rd season before writing this, but also true. * Mrs Hudson always knows when her boys are lying, and saw how damaged Sherlock was. Yep! She is ALL POWERFUL. * The fact that Hudson should join Scotland Yard. Imagine that, she'd be bossing and mothering everyone! * How broken Sherlock is, how he "asked and not demanded." * Her POV in "Of Palaces and Memories". The insight is a great look into how their relationship began. * The way she was so calm and placating to livid and knowing how to play her boys; ah, just like a mother. * The fact she knew that no one would sleep and prepared chamomile tea. * The reincarnation of John shedded light on his development in the show. * The ending where they realized their lives would not be the same, but could be rebuilt into something better. Overall, a beautifully well-thought out, believable, emotional, and cathartic story! |

Heather Snow chapter 1 . 11/29/2013 I liked this. I found Sherlock with PTSD to be interesting, and I appreciated that you didn't make ordinary readers dwell on the specifics of the horrible circumstances that could so traumatize someone like Sherlock! I felt he, John, and Mrs. Hudson were all very well-written and nicely in character. Well done. |
June chapter 1 . 11/26/2013 Beautiful! |
Guest chapter 1 . 11/26/2013 This is a wonderful story! You pictured Mrs Hudson so accurately and also John and Sherlock. Not a bit of it seemed out of character; this could be the textbook written by Moffat himself. |
Anonymous chapter 1 . 11/26/2013 I absolutely adored this! Thank you for writing it :) |
Arty Diane chapter 1 . 11/28/2013 That was a really beautiful story. I really liked how you showed Mrs. Hudson, she was so smart and perceptive! |
elfmaiden4legs chapter 1 . 11/28/2013 I love this! There are a few small spelling/word errors here and there that you could probably correct with just one more proof read but this doesn't really detract from the story at all, which is both beautiful and poignant by the way. You've done a brilliant job, and I just might go and check out some of your other stories now. |
FecklessFemale chapter 1 . 11/26/2013 Poor Sherlock, you really captured his trauma well, and the part where Mrs. Hudson thought Sherlock was a ghost was great! The dialogue was excellent and you really took John and Sherlock's friendship to a great new place. I enjoyed reading this a lot. |
friendlythistle chapter 1 . 11/26/2013 This is a wonderful story! You pictured Mrs Hudson so accurately and also John and Sherlock, not a bit seemed out of character; this could have been a textbook written by Moffat himself. Thank you for sharing! |
EJBRUSH1952 chapter 1 . 11/26/2013 I wonder if Lestrade knew the wheels he was setting in motion when he introduced Mrs. Hudson and Sherlock? The characters in your stories, they share their weaknesses with us and allow us to care. They breathe, think and react naturally. Love your stories, writing and will be looking for the continuation of this one. Thank you for writing for us. |
