I think that while Tommy's place is a paradise, it's only as good as the world it's been made from. So while yes, it's a place to settle down you still have to survive, there's still a harsh reality all around the survivors of the dam. I found this late last night and I've been reading it throughout the day and I've just finished it a few minutes ago. I really enjoyed it.

What an ending! Everything's tied in together and ended happy-ish. (As happy as this story could end lol) this story was awesome and I'm glad you followed through! Great job.

That ending! I can't wait for the next chapter where the family is reunited!

I can't believe how much I am loving this story! After watching a play-through (Movie version without commentary) I was so hooked and was so happy when I found your story! I love all the original characters and how you write them. (Even if I feel like I am pronouncing Erlina's name wrong. XP)

Great Intro! So Captivating & Vivid (I jus Pictured it Playin out in My Head)

I like the idea of this chapter, I really do. But, I don't know, it seemed forced at times, or something. And when Nate started crying, then chuckling, it was somewhat unrealistic. That's just me. It's not like a deal breaker or anything, but keep that in mind for your next chapters. I enjoy reading it, and I look forward to your next chapters! Don't take it too seriously, it's not a big deal, haha. :)

Howdy, I guess I'll be your first reviewer! For starters, you did a very good job of keeping with both the theme of the game and the personal touch of desperation. Your story was believable in the sense that the number of survivors to mutants was a fair number, and the breakout in the mall felt genuine. A problem with many of these types of stories is either there are so many strong, able bodied survivors that you wonder how the infection could even break out, or there are so few living beings that the world feels less "Mad Max" and more "I am legend", and you managed to keep a decent "on the edge" feel. Now for the critiques, and don't take these too hard: they are things I constantly strugle with and take a lot of time to perfect.
I think you need to work on your pacing. The passage of time didn't feel right and at times sentences would be very undescriptive of what just happened. Of course some sentences will be more important than others, but a steady flow of time for peace and a slowe, less cohesive one for trouble would be advisable. Best of luck to you!
