This is absolutely beautiful. The repetition is so effective and the writing explains the events simplisticly but so beautifully. I love the way you captured the progression of their relationship but most importantly the characters. The way Mello was shown as such a manipulative evil person yet such a misunderstood individual was perfect. And the way you showed Matt slowly becoming infatuated with him was amazing and it's final thoughts rounded off everything.

This is one of the best things I've read on this site because it's perfect in every explainable way. It was perfectly short in it's own right and even the end made me cry. It was beautiful, original and beyond perfect.

Damn, the story was so good... Especially when you remember Mello's apology in the truck *sigh*
I loved the "I'll finish it alone" thing. It was like... Ripping the skin off the story, it became so rough. So lovely. It wasn't all this usual "kiss, bliss, I love you". And that is a fabulous thing.
Yet another look at the same story but it was so unusual *thumbs up*

The thing I really like about this fanfiction is that this is probably what really happened. There's always tells of love and romance. But sometimes it isn't that. People don't know how to say I love you. Or how to express themselves.
I loved this it was wonderful.

The way you write is really, really good! And the idea was great. I think this showed everything from another point of view.
Like for example the ending. It's more common that Matt forgives him everytime at the end, but here he just wanted Mello to feel awful
