The Epilogue was heartbreaking but incredibly sweet. Now want to read all the books from this perspective!

I liked this. The girl in your story - I don't think we ever learn her name - is a very believable reluctant partaker in the recovery of James' memory. Though we see that as he regains it that seemingly the part that she wants to come back isn't returning. She sees a way out of using the impending NEWTs as a way of 'getting out' of her deal of sorts with Remus and Sirius. However, James realizes or is told by the other two guilty parties that she was never really his girlfriend. He seeks her out to tell her that for him it was never pretend, it was never a smoke screen or a fantasy or invented. It was always real.
I also admire you for changing the canon of the story. While still having an orphan with lightning bolt scar, it is not Harry as we have grown to know him. It is Neville, who in the end of the story is an unlikely hero on his own. And giving Neville the ability to have James and the OC treat him as one of their own and have him like a brother to Harry is a very inventive way to still have the foundations to have a follow on for us if we still wish to visit James and OC's life with Harry and Neville.
Well done. I really enjoyed this journey.
