My one little niggling comment would be that there should have been something about him calling her his star. That scene really brought out the waterworks for me in the manga.

This is going to my favourites immediately. I love it. I love it and I won't deny that my eyes did sting a little. But it was beautiful, so beautiful. I wish there were more stories like this out there.

I know you posted this a few years ago, but that was such a gorgeous story to tie along with the manga extras! Honestly, I'm a fairly new fan to the series, but they're my favorite VK couple and it's disheartening that there are so few well-written, in character fics featuring the two together - if only there were more! Oh my goodness. I am tearing up. I never did finish reading VK. I went off to college and my patience waned for some reason. I always did ship these two together, however. The moment I saw Aido take Yori to safety, that one panel sparked the beginning of an OTP. For some reason, a few days ago, I looked up Sayori's profile and read that she and Hanabusa married! I was shocked. Absolutely shocked. And delirious with happiness that one of my OTPs, which had seemed all but impossible had come to fruition. Your fic is sad, but it is canon. It is lovely.
