Great charter, the first bit was a Little bit slow but necessary, as for the bustercall, i'm thinking a water crystal poke protector, or misty and gyrados calling seakings and performing the gyrados rage dance thing

The Story Lives ! Even if Luffy is the one to take down Croc, I still want the Pokemon Pirates to fight him head on...and lose badly like Luffy did the first 2 times.
Nice to see our Marine Trio get more bonded with their Pokemon and start to grow as characters on their own.
Should the Admirals have their own Pokemon? If you plan on doing so, they deserve some type of legendary ones. Same for the Yonko.

I don't get why you are making the WG look like devil incarnate. Yeah, the WG does alot of awful mistakes and bad, evil decisions, but not even Oda goes this far to make the WG, let alone the Marines, look this bad. You do realize that there are more monsters on the seas other than the ones within the the WG? Like Kidd?

I hope your not planning for Ash and the gang to start some kind of revolutionary war against the WG with Luffy involved. I say this because I see, from past chapters and this one, that your building up many reasons for them to start one. To me, that would be lame, and it would be weird for the Straw Hats to get involved. The Straw Hats are not revolutionaries or freedom fighters. They are pirates. They only oppose the WG and their forces if the WG threaten or endanger one of their own or their friends and family or if they are in the way. Hell, Luffy would (and he has) hang out and throw a party with them if they would stop attacking him and his crew for 10 lousy secs.

So, the Marines are planning to throw a Buster Call on Arabasta. Just because that is the place where the Pokemon Pirates reside and they just so happen to be accompanied by a commander of a Yonko. It's in times like this where you wish the laws of war had already been invented on the One Piece world, where people that followed the Absolute Justice or Dark Justice could be regarded as war criminals.

What will be next, Vegapunk experimenting on Mewtwo to create armies of mega empowered psychic hybrids? Groudon and Kyogre being dragged in too and start screwing up the geography, climatology and oceanology?

That being said, the Neferatri family is one of the twenty families that founded the World Government. One would think they can't decide to bombard their homeland on a whim, but then again one of the five elders directly admitted that they are seen as traitors. So yeah, how fantastic, they create the rules, they break them. I just wish that we get to see the downfall of the WG by the end of One Piece

YAAY! When I saw that you posted a new chapter, I was really excited. I really like this story a lot, and it has good progression all around. One thing that I noticed though, don't understand pokémon humans, well, I won't say perfectly, but I always had the impression that it was the humans that don't understand pokémon and not the other way around. So, meowth, wouldn't need to 'say' anything to pokémon, he would just have to translate. I.E, Misty could talk to the pokémon (goldduck?) and the pokémon would understand her fine, but the other way around, Misty wouldn't know what the pokémon said, so for that, she would need help from meowth.

Am I wrong?

1: Given what’s going on in the Wano country arc will the Pokémon Pirates affect the war at all I really hope you make them a part of the Pirate, Heart, Ninja, Mink alliance to fight Kaido
2: Please make at least Ash a supernova and have the Pokemon pirates at Marineford
*My thoughts on what Pokémon each of the supernovas minus Luffy and Zoro would have because Luffy I think would get an Ambipom and Zoro a Gallade*

I must say this is one of the most well-crafted fanfics I've ever read, not just about One Piece or Pokemon, but in general. The way you keep their personalities recognizable yet sensibly matured in tune to their situation, how you didn't chose the easy way of simply rewriting the plot of OP with a few Pokemon elements sprinkled here and there and instead started from scratch, writing and entirely new plot that happens simultaniously to the Strawhats travels with original islands and characters... Even if you weren't a tenth of the writing genius you are, I would still commend you for trying something very few people dare (seriously, with how big and well written the OP world is, you would think there would be a ton of original takes on it, but nope)

On another matter, when I was reading the part about making Pokemon fight like gladiators, I couldn't help but think of Pokemon Colosseum. Are you planning on making the World Government develop the Shadow Pokemon?
It would certainly fit them, Pokemon whose hearts have been shut artificially and are little more than soulless, brutal fighting machines. It could also make a little subplot of the crew snatching them from their hands and having to purify them. I'm sure Brock wouldn't be too pleased upon discovering that, that's for sure

Anyways, regardless of personal theories, I'll be looking forward to the next chapter

another great chapter! j2 showing their lpyalty to ash was amazong but i still want him to do something to truly earn it, like putting his neck on the line for his crew like luffy does! though that might be the h/c and whumper in me! great story!

blown away again. wonderful chap with the strawhats and look forward to more! also the bonding within the poke crew is top notch, especially gary falling into place as the 1st mate. can’t wait to read more
