You dear thing. I was so sad when I read your note. Know that you have a cornucopia of gifts, and I'll be reading what you write. It's lovely and so are you.

Oh this is just perfect and soooo lovely!
Loved the twist of Phryne to dare Jack to talk to her! Love it!
Bellairian chapter 5 . 1/13/2016
I read this fabulous story months ago, long before even knew how to leave a comment and I like it even better now. Many of the early stories have an aspect of sweetness and gentleness that really appealed to me then and still appeal now and this is definitely in that league.

What a lovely, satisfying story - cheered me up no end. You write so beautifully of those emotions at the start of an affair. Thank you!
IlanaMiza chapter 5 . 11/26/2014
Very well written! A smooth, pleasurable read. Were they real, Phryne and Jack would be honored.

And thank you for what you revealed in the final author's note. That took courage. I'm glad you failed in that attempt. You definitely succeeded in your writing.

Thank you so much for this chapter. I keep coming back to the image of Jack, uncomfortably lying beside Miss Fisher fulfilling his forfeit. You can sense his inner conflict : his sense of honour - he accepted the dare now must pay the forfiet despite the cost to himself; the desire to have someone to talk to and the difficulty in actually forming the words which have for so long simply been nightmares. Your Jack is a wonderful, sensitive character please continue to tell his story.
