oh my, i feel so heartbroken now... i couldn't help but wish for a happy ending because Alfie deserves it, goddamit, but at the same time i can see that this was the best way to end this, it's beautiful, still ruined me though

What an engaging but heart breaking story; very well written! It had me near tears a couple of times.. Alfred's negative thoughts and Arthur's negligence hitting a bit too close to home :'). I applaud you for the accuracy.
The ending was hella bittersweet: (I don't know why I was hoping for Alfred to spring back to life, I just d i d.) Most of them recognize where they went wrong but it's too late to fix it now. :'V

What I find hurt me the most is, if only Alfred didnt met Arthur when he was a child, I wish he'll get better life? He was a happy child...but growing up with such dysfunctional family and friends... who was he to ask what life he will get in the future...I m gonna need to read a happy fic about Alfred right now...or rusame fluff

This was soooooooo good! It was so real, I'm crying over it, it was so real.

Really late to finding this story, but I stayed up all night binging the chapters. I’m being completely honest when I tell you that a story has never made me feel this distressed, frustrated, annoyed, and worried. It’s not that your story was bad, but rather it was so good it made me feel as if the characters were real, as if I knew them. Watching Alfred go from our happy hero to a depressed and self-couscous teen was torture. Also the fact that this book made the characters feel so real. It made me feel emotions a story typically doesn’t make me feel. And that made the ending break my heart even more.

ARE YOU FUCKING HAPPY! MY PILLOW IS FUCKING WET WITH TEARS! I WAS NOT READY FOR THE LAST FEW CHAPTERS! JESUS CHRIST IT WAS SO WELL DONE. AHHHH. (This IS THE first angst to have me like this in around 2 years, good job.)

Coming back here is always a breath of fresh air. It's a beautiful story. I remember reading this when I was in sixth grade and bawling. I still cry, though I don't think it's gonna stop soon. Thanks for sharing this with us. This story has really impacted my teen hood and adulthood, so thank you. :)

I should say that Alfred's ill mindset has triggered me A LOT (like alot alot) through the story but hey, i asked for it lol. I guessed that he would kill himself in the end and honwstly it was better as it was more realistic that he did. And i really wanted some rusame action but im glad it disnt happen because it would not be realistic either. Anyways im crying lol its 5 am
