untill today, I never even noticed there was a category for Alfred. I grew up watching the cartoon and owned several of the episode als radio plays on tape. This was a very touching AU. How many problems could have been averted if this had actually happened in the series itself? If you're still active here on this site, please keep writing.

You see, Dolf is NOT a crow, he's a raven. Crow is black and grey bird, but raven is its black relative.
