Guest chapter 17 . 2/17 If I remember correctly, "Sherlock Holmes" was introduced to the reading public one chapter at a time in a prominent British newspaper before being released as a complete novel. I think that some other British and American novels were also released in the same fashion. Keep in mind that this took place in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and that book promotions were conducted in a radically different fashion than today. |
Guest chapter 26 . 11/15/2019 It's blatantly obvious that WW & SM still have unresolved issues. They needed a great many more weeks, perhaps even months, to work out all of the kinks. They should be prepared to negotiate as aggresively as necessary. These negotiations will demand hours of passionate attention as well as observation in microscopic detail. There cannot ever be a "winner" or "loser," well, except for some VERY private games. They absolutely must develop a true co-operative partnership. |
Guest chapter 25 . 11/15/2019 I am shocked at Diana's behavior. She is usually portrayed as a master problem-solver. She should have taken matters forthrightly into her hands and then worked exhaustively with Kal to resolve every position. Naturally future issues will always arise between them, often simultaneously, and they must constantly be willing to work these situations out regardless of how long it takes. In time small issuances will come forth and these issues must be very carefully and lovingly nurtured so that they can stand on their own. Their position in the League makes them natural partners. It will be necessary for them to work diligently behind closed doors in order for them to reach the pinnacle of a consensus and present a united front. They must always be willing to use a fresh approach when it comes to interpersonal matters. This means that they must be willing to experiment and be innovative. They can keep the best of previous solutions while adding others to keep things fresh. They must be very assertive in their positions. At times it will be necessary to be co-leaders while at others one or the other must lead. |
Guest chapter 17 . 11/14/2019 If I remember correctly the Sherlock Homes stories were originally published chapter by chapter in a London, England newspaper. That contrivance guaranteed that people would continue to buy that newspaper. Decades later movie serials pulled the same stunt. |
Guest chapter 16 . 11/14/2019 It's long past time for WW to use her lasso on SM. I think that you may have strung us along too far and the plot has gone stale. There haven't been enough crises to advance the plot. Also, there has been no legitimate reason to proceed this slow. The only thing that seems to have been established is that WW has a streak of jealousy and possessiveness-it's not strong but it IS there. WW is usually portrayed as the Avatar of Truth, yet here she is actively lying about a deep relationship with SM. True, he has been rendered naive & trusting but WW is taking advantage of his condition. It seems that Hippolyta is aware that WW desperately wants to "jump" SM & might even be willing to allow it, but you sometimes seem to be vaguely sending mixed signals. Now that I think of it this story is more of a mild soap opera. |
Guest chapter 7 . 11/11/2019 I'm writing this in late 2019. The WW movie came out a couple of years ago. As the daughter of Zeus Diana was able to handle and hurl full powered bolts of lightning. Which version of WW are you using? Rightly or wrongly I "kinda-sorta-almost" feel that you're taking inspiration from different versions of her. I'm just trying to make sure that I understand your version is all. Commercial fiction stories always need to spend many pages, even chapters, establishing their characters. |
Guest chapter 5 . 11/11/2019 Why didn't you have WW use the Lasso of Truth on Kal and burn away his confusion? I realize that the story would have been extremely short but I think that you would have come up with an alternative storyline. By the way, you have grammar errors. |
Guest chapter 4 . 11/11/2019 "Doctor Light" was invented in the 1960's, the Silver Age. Dr. Light was a male supervillian and a member of Flash's rogues gallery. I've no idea when Dr. L was retconned into an Asian female superheroine as well as a physician. I think that the original Dr. L was Caucasian. I remember once many years ago seeing the "new" Dr. L wearing the same costume as the original. Could it be that they're related, possibly father & daughter? Does anyone out there know? If anyone does please write a brand new SMWW story, even a short one, and explain whatever the relationship is and I'll gladly read it. |
Guest chapter 3 . 11/11/2019 For those few who don't know: Dr. Mid-Nite (spelling varies) is a character from the Golden Age "Justice Society of America." He was a medical doctor that was blinded (sorry, but I forgot how). He discovered that he could see in total darkness by means of Infrared radiation. He was still blind in sunlight and artificial light. He quickly invented goggles that allowed him to see in "white" light. That's his only superpower. Otherwise he fights crime pretty much the same way Batman does. Beating on people with his fists is pretty damn stupid for a medical doctor but then none of the super-hero creators could be accused of being rocket scientists. Yes, yes I am fully aware that William Moulton Marston (the creator of WW) had a PhD in Psychology and had a hand with the invention of the lie detector. Marston is also the guy that decided WW was a clay statue instead of a demigoddess. |
Harry Thomas Riddle chapter 8 . 7/25/2019 I believe I've reached my limit. I don't think I can't reading a story whenever former dates are mentioned in every chapter. I wanted to read a story about Superman and Diana and not how many ex they had... |
Harry Thomas Riddle chapter 5 . 7/25/2019 Your stories are fine but the overly reminding of different people they dated and kissed is a turnoff |
Guest chapter 20 . 2/15/2019 I guess that you wrote this before DC decided to eliminate the red shorts. If you & others peruse photos of early 20th Century circus & carnival strongmen (don't forget to include the late great Charles Atlas!) a lot of them at one time or another wore a partial to full leotard with either an animal skin (a la Tarzan) or some kind of trunks. Then as now trapeze artists also wore distinctive outfits. |
Guest chapter 7 . 2/14/2019 Next time try some dehydrated water, aka powdered water. There's also the newer version, freeze-dried water. |
Guest chapter 27 . 8/10/2018 ww has said "i love you" about 5 times since reuniting... though sm answered yes, when ww asked if he loved her, i have not read him saying "i love you" at all. i think he needs to do this at least once...no, several times since reuniting since he is the one who rejected her due to her lying. perhaps add a few sentences for his "i love you, too" or simply "i love you" since the assignment? |
Meaningless Us3rname chapter 9 . 4/11/2018 One thing rather does bother me is Diana is being extraordinary selfish about everything. If the situation was reversed I cant imagine how angry and violated she would feel. Hippolyta IS right, and when an immortal man-hateing queen is telling you that you are abusing a man than its probably a good idea to listen |
