Zilla 2000 chapter 81 . 4/30 Wow I gotta say that was probably the worst torture scene you've ever made. Seriously you fucked those guys up probably worse then I've ever thought of. Seriously did you pull that from somewhere or just thought of it. I knew that shootout seemed a little too familiar just off the exchange and how everyone talked. Also I think you picked the wrong name for this chapter Loyalty meant nothing with Michael during that bank robbery. It does make sense though for Independents to stick together because I do see them getting screwed over the most. Also I don't care what Franklin think Tavell did the smarter thing with Lamar I don't see Franklin doing anything of those things he said he'd do to Lamar. And wow I think Skell had the most badass ending out of everyone. Also I think Franklin knows it was Joaquin who did that to Coco but he's too blind to see it because come on he knows how brutal Joaquin is and once he found out Amata's name was tied to Coco that should have been enough said right there plus he's proving the words of Baby Joker. I'm actually surprised Baby Joker didn't say anything just to keep his name out of it because that dead baby is on his hands to. |
Zilla 2000 chapter 80 . 1/5 Wow bro this chapter had to be one of your most bloodiest and the most sadist in terms of fucked up killing and yes you have a point about Roman Empire's version of Marcus killing a kid. Him and Joaquin are no different in killing a kid. Evil...yes but justified evil. By code of the streets though they're both in the wrong. Killing a pregnant woman is against the code, but the main difference is Mark operated more as a soldier taking revenge for a dead friend the politics of the street don't really apply to him in that regard. Where as I can see more consequence from Joaquin mostly from his superiors when they find out and I can see people alienating him because of it. Specifically Baby Joker because he's got kids and he's finding God. Damn Tavell got fucked up pretty bad as well though, but I'm interested in knowing how Tracey will react when she finds out Coco is dead. |
Zilla 2000 chapter 79 . 1/5 Sorry for the late review still catching up but I've gotten rather far these last couple of days towards the end so that's a credit. It was interesting that Mousy would want Joaquin to have another show with Franklin, Trevor, and Michael. It was funny as hell but I was surprised she found it funny it's mostly Trevor being Trevor. Glad to see Tracey and Franklin reconciling. Also I can see exactly why the Vagos are pissed about the club but at the same time not really. It's a strip club, but still guys know there are places where they're welcome and they're not. Also you added in Trevor's father I'm really interested to see what that dynamic will shake everything up. And just wow I really was not expecting that ending I get you were ending this story but I didn't see that character not making it to the end. |
humancyrax chapter 85 . 12/19/2019 Man both endings were sad guess this one is canon I guess everyone died but at least they had temporary happiness |
TheHeadInCharge chapter 85 . 12/19/2019 Oh man, I will note that this will not be a short review. Now onto the review itself. After reading the previous chapter, I kept on pondering as to what you would to do conclude it for this chapter. Now that I've read it, I have to say that it did have a feel of Option C, but it had fitting ends for some of the loose ends on the quartet's radar. I had an idea that Karen and Bernard were going to get it in this chapter. I was hoping for Karen to meet her end, especially after reading "Life is Just a Dream." My eyes widened a bit when she was trying to rape Joaquin, but I knew that she wouldn't get what she wanted out of him. The way she was killed, man, that was pretty creative. I wouldn't have thought of using coffee grounds to burn her up, and then slash her to bits with the machete. I think it probably would have been less climactic if he just shot her or something, so she needed a stylish death. Regarding Rocket's death, I haven't seen Colors in a while, but I think I remember that scene. It's been about four years since I last watched it, but I do remember his death sequence when he was shot, so it worked. As for Lamar's death, I had a feeling that he would meet his end at some point, but I will admit that I felt a little sad when I read that bit. I also felt for Tavell and Franklin when they hesitated to put him out of his misery. As for Kirk's death, whoa man! I mean I was not sure when he would meet his end or how he would do it, but man, that was pretty brutal. Pretty fitting end for him. I mean I hated Cameron when I saw American History X. I could only imagine if there was a continuation of that movie and someone were to try to go after him, at least much later after he and Seth got jumped in the movie, but you made it happen. As for the rest, that was quite an epilogue. I liked how you had Franklin and Tracey having a family of their own. I don't know how long it would have been until he died, but I could imagine how his kids would feel later on while growing up with Tracey as a single mother. Unless they were older when he died. I did like how you had Trevor and Ursula be an item, even though she wasn't featured as much in this story. As for Michael, well, I actually saw him dying at some point, but never through a heart attack at 55. It worked, considering the life he led. He did smoke a lot, as well as drank a lot. I could imagine if he got back into doing all of that, which affected his health greatly. Nice way of having the entire saga draw to a close with not only Tavell avenging Lamar to that soldier, but also with Joaquin and Rosa spending their final moments together in Ecuador. Personally, out of all the protagonists, I wouldn't have expected Joaquin to outlive the other three like this, but I like how you did it. It was very heartwarming for the two to share their love and final moments together like that. Overall, this had to have been quite the project you have done. It's been six years since you started it. I know that I had been meaning to read it, and I didn't actually give it a full read until the start of this year, but I'm glad I consistently followed it from then until now. I know you said that you have a way to go before the conclusion of Concrete Jungle, but really wonder how that will end. Until then, I will get back to reading it (As well as Zilla's story "New Arcadia" because I know there were crossovers with that one). Just want to say one more thing, hats off to you. This has been one hell of a ride. |
humancyrax chapter 84 . 12/11/2019 Damn that was a crazy chapter a good ending but hopefully it's a dream Joaquin shouldn't be doing Karen's work like a do boy. |
TheHeadInCharge chapter 84 . 12/9/2019 Man, this really tugged my heartstrings. This had the feeling of one the choices Franklin could make regarding killing Trevor or Michael. That exchange between Trevor and Joaquin was good. Trevor made some good points even before he finally died. The same could be said about Franklin's fate. I can't wait to read the other ending. This had to be one hell of a project for you. |
humancyrax chapter 83 . 12/7/2019 Dammit Jimmy you can't listen to your pops for once in your life I'm surprised you killed one of his kids. The scene where Joaquin kills Dennis and his gang was badass. lol at Franklin like I get your mad at Joaquin but rocket shot Denise tried to kill him and Lamar and killed Tanisha obviously he's the more pressing threat. As usual the lemon was sexy hope the quartet realizes that Karen is pitting them against each other to tie up loose ends. Seth's death was sastifying |
Zilla 2000 chapter 78 . 12/6/2019 Short chapter but that prison fight was savage as hell and I wasn't expecting the black inmates to come out on top being that they are heavily outnumbered the way they are. You mentioned though that the riot was based on a real one where'd you hear about that from. And damn Lamar got a heart check with all he's done that surprising as hell. I'm actually shocked he wasn't stabbed on site. At least Joaquin is being somewhat civil with Mousy and Ricardo but I do think Mousy needs to just let him go for all that stalker shit. |
TheHeadInCharge chapter 83 . 12/5/2019 Wow, just wow. With Tanisha and Jimmy now gone, I wonder who will be next. I hope Amanda won't suffer the same fate, or Tracey. Hell, I was shocked to see Trevor's parents getting gunned down as well. As for the part about everything finding out that Joaquin had stuff to do with the deaths of friends, as well as what Franklin, Michael, and Trevor had done, I really wonder how everything will play out now. Even when I read the part about the graveyard Massacre from way back, I think Joaquin may find out that Franklin happened to be involved, even though he was extorted into doing it by the Armenians. I may have to re-read that part. With there being two more chapters to do, I really want to see what will happen next and I sure as hell want to see how you will end it. |
humancyrax chapter 82 . 11/28/2019 Micheal sounds like a bitch tbh whining about Franklin's statement during the FIB heist when Franklin was correct your sitting whining and insulting the people who are risking their life to help you. White privilege definitely exists funny how triggered whites get when you mention it shit like redlining is literal white privilege. Damn can't believe you killed off Lester but I'm glad Lenny and John and killing Vasquez Jr was badass. I have to admit seemed ooc for Franklin to what to sell the bricks considering he told skell he wasn't interesting in helping the gang anymore and complained about selling the brick during the Grove Street mission. The Dennis scene was crazy yeah I'd definitely be inspecting my anus too. Hope Joaquin kills him or better yet Trevor actually grows some balls and kills Dennis. |
TheHeadInCharge chapter 82 . 11/24/2019 That shootout was pretty bloody. I am looking forward to seeing what happens to Vasquez now. Just wondering, but is it taking place in 2018 now? Because you mentioned something about Jimmy's age, as well as it been 5 years after the union depository Heist. I'm just curious. The bit with Dennis was weird, but now I'm curious about checking out that movie that you mentioned. It was weird, I did kind of laugh at some parts. Also surprised that you mentioned Ursula. I remember you made a mention of her much much earlier, but that was about it. We're getting close to the end, huh? I'm really curious as to how you will end it. |
TheHeadInCharge chapter 81 . 11/20/2019 I'd be surprised as hell if Skell survived the stabbing. It seemed that Guero had stabbed him multiple times, so for him to live through that, he'd have to be really lucky. I enjoyed the heist at the beginning. Pretty bloody, especially when you are involving a young Michael and the other guys. I can only guess this was before he met Amanda. It seemed that Cletus has been killed off as well. I didn't have a issue with that character, not even a little, but I was just surprised he lived this long. I remembered you killed off Chef quite a while ago. As for Tavell, do I sense that something will happen to him now? I really wonder what will happen next. |
humancyrax chapter 81 . 11/19/2019 Idk skell was shot and stabbed multiple times so he's in bad shape and he's a older dude so he may not heal as fast but who knows people have survived worse. The human trafficking scene was badass and I enjoyed his talk with baby joker about redemption and salvation. A shame about wicked but yeah Trevor had to get Ron to the hospital plus cops could have showed up best just to shoot and be done with it.. I could see Joaquin being pissy about her death but it was in self defense like Trevor killing Gary I do feel a bit bad for Micheals old crew mates and the old school heist scene was cool and damn cranley and Percival screwed him over plus the cartel is still out there |
humancyrax chapter 80 . 11/17/2019 Damn what a crazy chapter eh oddly I'd have been fine if Joaquin just shot Coco but that torture was like Wu said shit that would make joker proud. But he had to honor his family definitely not an easy choice man your gta would be AO. The lemons were hot and stomper went out like a badass. Trevor's dad is hilarious though can't wait to see him interact with the mother. Glad lucianas killers got it in the end |
