greetingsfrommaars chapter 1 . 3/30/2015 hmm, based on the other reviews here, it looks like there was once a second chapter to this... well, in any case, this piece seems to stand fine on its own to me. the little parenthetical remarks really expressed the way Sherlock feels about things-he really does care. it's just that he never does in an obvious way, so his feelings towards others may become parenthetical, something left out of all the things he says aloud. your writing is beautiful. :') |
PBIceCream chapter 2 . 11/22/2013 Wow, that was incredibly painful and heartbreaking! Beautifully written, thank you. |
Winged-Violoncelle chapter 2 . 11/19/2013 I may or may not have dropped in my last review that I'm all for the bittersweet for this couple (or more like I'm just a sadistic person), and I feel it's only fair if I share my honest opinion on the continuation with you; I hope you don't mind. Personally I don't think you need this chapter, because what captivated me as the soul of this couple was perfectly summed in the previous chapter. However, I can't stress enough that this is only my personal opinion. I hope you don't take offence. :) That said, I did enjoy the continuation and squirmed happily at what passed. :) You're quite good at the "putting-butterflies-in-the-stomach-and-making-peo ple-squeal" kind of romance and I felt just what was in the quotation marks :). In terms of writing and technicalities, everything was also spot-on perfect. But now that the events have progressed like this, it's only natural for me to expect a chapter detailing Molly's feelings :). I hope to see that some time soon. Great work & cheers, WV |
Teveau chapter 2 . 11/16/2013 Love this. Much, much happier. |
CloudCuckooLandHasAQueen chapter 2 . 11/16/2013 ...perfect finish. Owww I have feels now... |
Kathmak chapter 2 . 11/16/2013 Are you trying to make me cry? Because it is working. This is heartbreaking. And beautiful. Please, please tell me this will have a happy ending. I don't think I could bear it otherwise! |

MorbidbyDefault chapter 2 . 11/16/2013 Oh gosh...this story hurts me on so many levels. Ungh...TAKE HIM BACK! IT'S NOT TOO LATE! YOU HAVEN'T GOTTEN MARRIED YET! Oh, oh my poor feels. |
apedarling chapter 2 . 11/16/2013 Molly! Don't do it! Sherlock baby! ;_; |
SammyKatz chapter 2 . 11/16/2013 Another chapter please. How did he not know she was in a relationship? Please wrap this up in a nice sweet bow. |

Winged-VCelle chapter 1 . 11/15/2013 Oh, and there was one important thing I forgot to mention. Saccharine? My God. You're tearing me apart. :) Cheers, WV |
Winged-Violoncelle chapter 1 . 11/15/2013 Wow. Well done. Where do I even start? I thought I was long past angsting over a ship until Sherlock/Molly hit me full in the face. (In fact I thought I was long past shipping any pairing.) There's just so much potential yet so much despair mingled together and GOD it makes me feel like such an antithetical and improper fangirl. I wish in all my heart to see them together because their abilities quite complete each other's, and yet I cannot bear to see them together romantically because that would in all possibility defeat the beauty of the relationship. That's (probably) the twisted essence of this ship that (probably) keeps it afloat even in book-fans like me. For all the days I've been scouring this fandom, I haven't yet found a serious story involving Sherlock and Molly that speaks much to my heart until I read this. Your way with words is beautiful. I knew I had to keep reading the moment I reached the second paragraph, because it exposed so perfectly the sentiments hidden below Sherlock's mountain of reason. He is so blind to sentiment and she is so feeble in expressing it, and it seems that he would never discover it from her (or his own heart) until she is gone from him forever, and he is left only with what small bits of walls she had written on in his mind palace. The deductions enclosed in brackets were wonderfully in-character, not at all jarring, and heartbreaking. It was as if he didn't realize how much he knew about her until the moment he read the invitation, and it just seemed so right because he was Sherlock who took many precious things for granted. I loved the bit where he calculated the distance from Baker Street to her new address. I loved his confusion. I loved the fact that he didn't see or regret hurting her until it was far too late. Everything about this story embodied the hopeful yet pessimistic outlook I have on the two's relationship, that it hurt and brought tears to my eyes. "...crushing and crushing until the fragile scrap was nothing more than a wrinkled accordion", and that chilling last line. I have to thank you for this angst, for publishing this piece that, to me at least, seems the first to nail what is so captivating about the pairing. I'm not even coherent any more because I'm so moved and wallowing in my rare angst and cursing Moffat because I know firmly that I will forever go down with a ship that I don't even fully romantically support. Well, I ramble. Have I told you how much I love this? Have I thanked you for posting this? I'd like to do it again :). You've brightened and darkened my day and I'm not sure if I should bow to you or growl at you :). I do know, though, that this story will forever be amongst my favourites now! Some nitpicks: [tiny things to one such as he.] - should be "such as him" [so that Toby would have a friend.] - I think you should end the sentence with a question mark. Thanks again for mind-blowing me and making me depressed (I mean it :), WV |
Rocking the Redhead chapter 1 . 11/15/2013 That was heartbreaking...utterly heartbreaking. |
