Loved this story!
ElfofMirkwood1379 chapter 1 . 1/6/2015
Such a wonderful story! I really love this sort of misunderstood relationship between Thranduil and Legolas, especially since after watching The Hobbit. Your stories should be scenes in a movie! This is so touching and is just how I wished Legolas' last day before the Fellowship would be. I'm so glad I discovered your works. The ending is really satisfying and gives me a warm feeling.
I really love how Legolas tries to maintain a composed personality, like the stubborn elf we all know, but is immediately broken down by his father's words (which broke me down too, by the way).
Basically, I just love this story! Extremely well written!
hoigui chapter 1 . 4/15/2014
I really like fics where thranduil shows that he loves his son, thank you for writing it.
Somewhat Inspired chapter 1 . 1/28/2014
Daaaaaaw! 3
Just a fifteen? I give it a twenty out of ten!
Zardi chapter 1 . 1/11/2014
Very well-written story...just what I was looking for after seeing DoS (for the third time .) Tolkien told us so little about Legolas and Thranduil, but I prefer the bittersweet fan interpretations that give them somewhat of a strained relationship after the death (or sailing over the sea) of Legolas's mother, with the added strain of constantly fighting off the forces of Mordor. I do hope you will write more father/son stories with these two.
Guest chapter 1 . 1/9/2014
I disagree id go for a 20 I absolutely loved it and I love all of your stories.
firewill chapter 1 . 12/29/2013
AMAZING! I colud totally feel them. Your way of writing is amazing and I love how you work on their characters, peeling the layers till you don't get to the break down... It was really moving.
alice-esp chapter 1 . 12/26/2013
It is painful , yet beautiful and well written. I wish I could read the homecoming part when Legolas returns to his father.

'My treasure... My beautiful treasure' this sounds like Legolas is truly the last hope and the most precious thing to Thranduil. It's beautiful. I love them :)
Strange Girl 773 chapter 1 . 12/17/2013
My God, this is beautiful. I'll never understand how something can be so heartwrenching and heartwarming at the same time. Not only is this little piece of writing beautiful beyond any description, I think it might have just inspired me to write again :)

Seriously though, you're a great writer. This is amazing, I love it.
lotus-bugxm9 chapter 1 . 11/24/2013
Lovely story :-) one thing I'm looking forward to the most in the new movie is the father/son relationship between Thranduil and Legolas. It just oddly gives me so many warm and fuzzy feels! Haha

Anyway, great story!
Dan Sickles chapter 1 . 11/22/2013
Oh my! I really almost couldn't handle the intensity of that story . . . so many tears! I suppose in a way it's exactly what you were aiming for, but I almost had to stop reading when the two of them began to hug. I don't know if a lot of male reviewers have looked at your work, but as a son who lost a father many years ago I just feel that you've written something that's almost too painful to look at. Most fathers and sons don't dare express the emotions that power this story. That's what gives it so much life. And I think a lot of male readers would be afraid even to read it! Still as I look up I see that you have scored a massive success - so man favorites already! Great job!

PS I know you must have seen the movie THE GODFATHER many times. This story really made me think of Michael Corleone serving in World War II and how the Godfather was so upset!
