On the other hand, disgusting parts like playing with manure, taking care of rubbish were destroying the atmosphere. | Dichotomus chapter 3 . 8/9/2018 Why include Age of Consent at all? It took me right out of the story, because everything about it was wrong. The purpose of age of consent is to protect children from predatory adults or significantly older children: Karin and Naruto are practically the same age. Who would be considered in need of protection? Most modern states allow children within a set age time frame to form relationships and "mess around." It is only when the children are significantly separated by age that such a thing becomes an issue legally. On top of that, pretty much no war like societies have Age of Consent laws simply because they are too busy fighting for survival to even consider the issue. I realize the world Naruto is set in is a blend of barbaric violence and modern living, so such a law is not outlandish, but it still strikes me as anachronistic. |
