Ok, this is epically cute! I am absolutely obsessed with this show, and even more so Fitzsimmons. I love your writing style. The other stories I read centering Fitzsimmons of yours were also amazing. Keep it up, I hope to see more, even if the show progresses in a different direction. You definitely did the ship justice!

Anyways, "Each Other's Shield" is your second story concerning Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and it's going brilliantly.

You don't use excessive detailing or unnecessary dialogues. The whole narrative and dialogues had a purpose and place in the tale. The progress was fluid and smooth, showing how good a grasp you have on the plot and ideas per story.

Also, I like to highlight your concentration to the variants in Fitz and Simmons in their characteristics. Yes, they're like an oiled machine that works in tandem with each other, yet there are differences.

I like how you managed to portray Fitz as a vulnerable man, and that he's actually more in need of assurances than Simmons, at least here. Though Simmons is actually the same, she sometimes, or oftentimes looks tougher due to her enthusiasm and excitement. Whilst Fitz can be very sensitive or emotionally vulnerable, and low on self-esteem. I am not saying that there aren't guys who are like this, but you captured the aspect very well, showcasing it through Fitz, and it's nice how Simmons can see it, since she's his best friend and has been living with him long enough to know his characteristics.

Altogether, another great story, and cute too. I love the banter and the relaxed nature of the entire story. I hope you're going to produce more stories about them soon. :)
