I don't think this is tacky. I mean, the lack of clear paragraphs makes it difficult to read, but you should ignore your sister. I think that anyone who wants to write a story should write a story- and that's that. Don't worry about pleasing anyone else. All it really does is restrict the creative process. So write for you, and see what happens. Personally, I enjoyed this.
