So good, and extremely ominous! Brilliant fic!

Ohmygod creepy! That was the first thing I thought! Especially the last line. I guess the magic was a form of necromancy, and if a boy that young was able to do it, it means that he has some natural skill. And knowing Merlin, it would repulse him. I'm also guessing that the boy recognized SOMETHING in Merlin.

And congratulations on the traditional zombie story, but one that is actually believable! It would make sense that a sorcerer could animate the dead. Well, in the time of Camelot anyway.

If you decide to write anymore horror stories, please let me know!

Wonderfully haunting. The image of the druid boy in the tree was absolutely riveting. Nice edge of pre-cognitive doom at the end!

Oh yay, you wrote more! You know, just the other day I thought to myself "Man, I wanna read some Merlin fics. Haven't heard from QueenMegaera in a while." And boom. Two days later a fic. I just really love this series, I am always so happy when you write more to it. (I did in fact read this the day you published it, but I only now got around to commenting... Real life is needy.)

About the fic itself... I really like Sir Leon so I was thrilled to see him as the POV. And I really liked your Leon as well. The plot was solid and fit the feel of the series. I mean, this is something I could totally see happening in the actual show. But the ending seemed a bit rushed? I don't know, I feel like it isn't over quite yet. But I suppose it continues onto All the King's Horses, so it's better? But that's just my opinion. Also, at first I thought the boy must be Mordred, but he turns into a bear or something, so I guess he's not? That was a bit unclear, to me at least. I don't know if you intended it that way.

Oh, I'm guessing there's a typo or sth in the beginning of the third paragraph, where is says "The was a c of collection of drab little houses". I'm guessing you changed your mind halfway through the sentence.

But yeah, I really liked this. It was a nice little breather in the midst of my rewatching the whole show. (Half way through season 5, can't handle all the feels, ugh...) Can't wait for In Days Still Left aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
