i know the story is complete and I can just skip over, but I won't because it's very well crafted. I'm going to guess, if to no one else, then to myself. Apep is a shadow user thus CANNOT use death magic. Which is why he keeps prodding at Light for just a page of the death note for how EASY killing would become. Perhaps apep had used it in a past life, but must get permission from the owner otherwise can't use it himself. And some Ka, like Misa's are just straight assholes because they hate being connected to a lesser being like a human.

I think that this was a good way to conclude. I'm glad you mentioned that Yugi had proposed to Anzu.
I see that a lot more people are moving over to Ao3.

I enjoyed it from beginning to end, and I think the ending was perfect. Things in life don't always have a satisfactory conclusion, so that happening when it comes to Mira and Light not serving a sentence works. But Seto and Ishizu get their happy ending, so it's all good. :)

Nice description of the balance that was meant to exist between the Gods Horahkty and Apep.
I am glad you are doing one more chapter to tie in loose ends. There has been some Kaiba and Ishizu, but I'm dying to know if Yugi and Anzu get together now that he has finished saving the world.
I wonder what will become of Lawliet? I was a bit confused about the relevance of the children in the orphanage being his successors as L. I thought his role was completed now the Gods are gone.

It's great that you have posted a new chapter to this story. I have really been enjoying it.
Your story telling is always very clever.
So the little Shinigami Lawliet saved was Tiramisu - that's cute. I'm glad she is okay.
It seems that two battles are going on: One between Yugi and Apep and one to cleanse the Shinigami and destroy the tree.
I do hope Yugi is okay and can defeat Apep, and that Lawliet can destroy the tree, in case Apep manages to get control of the realm.

It has been a while I started to read your story and I enjoyed it so much that I read until I was at the last chapter you posted.

I liked how you portrayed Light in this fic. He is smart but in the end he got owned by Apep. I wonder if he will be able to summon his ka now that he doesn't have black magic anymore. L is also amazing. I liked the backstory you made for him and Seraphina. I wonder what they had become. Misa and Rem (or shall I say Ice Master) are great too. I was sorry for Misa when I learnt what Enyo was up too (I knew from the beginning she was up to no good), even thought she is a murderer and she tried to kill Yugi an Noa at the beginning of the story. As for Matsuda, it's nice to have him do something better than the rest of the task force because in the manga and anime, he is always seen as inferior to the others.

Now for the Yu Gi Oh cast. I like how you tied Gozaburo's death with the death note, how Kaiba reacted to this mess and how you portrayed Kisara's story with the shinigamis. I also appreciated the scenes where everyone starts to learn how to summon their ka especially when Mokuba managed it the first time. As for Yugi, it's cool he gets to be the king of the multiverse and a professor in archeology. I was crazy about the scene where he confronts Light and gets angry at him. The only thing that is kind of weird in your fic is Truthshipping because I never really imagined Kaiba and Ishizu together but it's fine since it isn't the main thing in the story.

I can't wait to read the rest of your fanfic and know how everybody will get in the shinigami real and destroy the tree or how Apep is going to be defeated. Keep up the good work.
