Ernestin3 chapter 49 . 6/17 that. ending. wow. love this.. |
LadyMiss chapter 48 . 5/18 so i knew that i said i re-read this every year, but i think i've read it all again in less than 6 months. but whos counting? (definitely not me). thank you for this story. i can never truly express how much i love this tale. it has the right amount of intrigue and balance between light or dark themes. but i never feel like it won't come back from the brink. the world you weave is interesting and even though i know what happens next, i always can't wait to read the next chapter. if you ever feel like writing one of these mammoth bois again where Tom Riddle manages to convince Hermione Granger that her world starts and ends with him, just know that I will be there reviewing every chapter. and probably re-reading it every year. so thank you, again. from the bottom of my iso-heart 3 |
RevolverKiss chapter 49 . 5/18 I’m sure it’s been ages since you’ve looked at this, but your story has left me awestruck. Not only did you have a fully developed plot with difficult, moving pieces but you had multiple multidimensional characters that grew throughout the story. You built it up slowly and still managed to created an ending that satisfied the mountain you had built. Amazing. Thank you |
TheLoteTree chapter 29 . 5/3 A typo: her abdomen should be convex at this point, not concave. |
TheLoteTree chapter 22 . 5/3 *covers face and breathes slowly* That was...epic. Cruel. Terrible. But, epic. She's essentially bonded for life to LV who, the ritual implied, was the dominant version of Riddle's personality instead of 'Tom' which I previously believed was the dominant alter ego. You implied in the chapter where there is a flashback to Lucius and Narcissa's wedding that Hermione was successful in getting away from him though, at this point, it makes me think she dies/kills herself in the future because how is she going to get out of THIS? She says it's bond that can trascend DEATH! *Clutches wildly at her hair* And the story isn't even half over yet! And just what is that paper that Tom was consulting at the end of the chapter? It was there after they formed the blood bond, too. Does it have a spell that can monitor Hermione's emotions? Is it even ABOUT her? And who is he sending letters to on the continent? He can't possibly influence people outside of Hogwarts simply through mail yet...can he? I feel I'm quite horrifyingly addicted to this story. |
TheLoteTree chapter 14 . 5/2 And they finally did it! I was honestly expecting it to take longer to reach this point but I can't really find any significant faults with the progression of the story so far. So yay! But then again this kiss was also mostly about manipulation and the constant power play between Tom and Hermione, rather than any sincere emotions so...ahem ahem. It surprises me that LV was sane enough to realise the futility of blood prejudice so completely that he sends Hermione back in time to convince his former self to change his opinions before he becomes publicly known as LV. But, that begs the question, did LV of Deathly Hallows already know Hermione and have history with her (unbeknownst to her) and send her back in time to complete the time loop? Because that is how time is shown to work in Prisoner of Azkaban. And then there's the cryptic message 'Tom Riddle, protect her, claim her willingly and sumthin sumthin.' It sounds like a list of instructions given to a cult initiate. But anyways, it does hint at a time loop but then why would LV bother to send Hermione back if he knows he's probably going to lose if not as a last ditch attempt to save himself in retrospect? |
TheLoteTree chapter 11 . 5/2 I know Prof Beery was just trying to nudge Hermione in what he thought was the right direction by asking her to find the good traits in Tom's character and not focus so completely on the bad ones but...I don't feel it was the responsible thing for a teacher to say. A student has come to you saying that one of her peers is coming on to her. She doesn't like him and admits that she is SCARED of him, and your response is to urge her to be more accepting of this creep? So that he can what rape her in a deserted corridor? It didn't actually happen but that scene in the hidden passage behind the tapestry after Slughorn's party, though heated and exciting, was bordering on sexual assault. I hate and really like Tom at the same time which means you're doing a good job so far with his character. Also, I hope you address the issue of WHY Tom is so cruel to his Knights and WHY they still remain extremely loyal and submissive despite such degradation and literal torture. |
misadventure girl chapter 1 . 5/1 Marcus Aurielius...Ravenclaw... seriously? |
TheLoteTree chapter 6 . 5/1 Things are heating up quicker than I expected. Tom's maimed a fellow student and hexed and injured Hermione and now he wants to 'teach her a lesson' for defying him. Sheesh, It's going to take a lot of work for these two to become allies let alone something more. But, I am enjoying reading this because Tom is a manipulative, selfish bastard if not a complete psychopath yet and that is exactly what he is in canon and, honestly, I fervently hope you can elaborate upon and, in some ways, improve his character without changing who he fundamentally is. I'm holding you to what you said in your first A/N, author. Anyways, Hermione is still extremely smart and competitive (as she almost invariably is in canon and fanon) but still prone to emotional outbursts and impulsive actions when her emotions are running high as shown in this chapter. I like that you retained that quality of hers, it's important in making her seem more ordinary and relatable and not a Mary Sue. |
TheLoteTree chapter 1 . 5/1 I haven't read a tomione fic in quite some time. I'm looking forward to reading your story. The first chapter was okay. You've got me curious about the letter and dagger Tom retrieved from Hermione when she was unconscious. It's probably got explanations and instructions from LV but what I'm more curious about is how did Tom know about her? Was he the one who found her and alerted the teachers? And Hermione was sorted into Ravenclaw. I liked that you didn't go with the cliche 'she's sorted into Slytherin' but how did the Hat know her from 'before'? The 'before' hasn't happened yet so the Hat shouldn't know who she is unless it discovers the knowledge about her time jump in her head. |
Pranavi chapter 49 . 4/29 Beautiful story. |
Lorendy chapter 49 . 4/5 A long time ago, I read this fic. Even at that time I was astonished by this story, so well written and with the plot so well outlined. Some days ago, I encountered it again. By the name, I vaguely remembered it was a good one. So, without wavering, I took the opportunity to reread this work. I don't regret every single minute that I spent reading this again. How could someone doesn't fall in love with this piece of art? I don't have words enough to describe this beauty in shape of fic. I was so enticed as I was the first time I read it. Thank you, author, for sharing with us this story and congratulations for the outstanding work. |
Chantal9 chapter 49 . 4/4 Wow! What a phenomenal journey that was! I am in awe of the story you have crafted here. I'm so glad I came across the post in the FB Tomione fanfics group where this fic was listed as a favorite and highly recommended. I can't thank you enough for all of the time, energy, dedication, endless energy and effort put forth...just so much of yourself poured into this gift for all of your readers. |
Maliksproperty chapter 49 . 3/19 This was one of the best TomLV x Hermione stories I have ever read! During the first half of the book, I started to wonder how is this going to turn out. During the second half, I could feel the love and the respect their relationship had and I loved every single part of it! Thank you so much for sharing! |
wistful reader chapter 22 . 3/16 Lol. If all marriages thrived on passionate hate we'd all be happily married. |
