I really, really liked this. I believe that you did the characters justice, and I can't recall having seen this idea used before, the fanboy/fangirl cliche, but at the same time, it was used in such a creative way. It bound the narrative together as a framework while allowing the ItaSaku relationship to grow organically. I LOVE that they connected organically and in a believable way, as opposed to a passionate spark that automatically made them a couple.

Anyway, thank you so much for all the effort that you put into piece. It really shows, and I wouldn't mind reading more of this verse if you ever have the time/inclination. I hope that you're staying safe, and happy writing!

I'm glad you went into the details of how Itachi came to notice Sakura because as thoughtful as his gestures were, I kept wondering back to the thought of How... did this even all began. You're right, the quality of sacrifice plays a big role in Itachi's character (well, building strength isn't necessarily a loss but putting your life on the line for others is). As a martyr himself, he'd admire the same in another.

I appreciated how you addressed the issues that both sides would run into post-marriage. Not many people think about these consequences or the ugly sides to either partner's family and work life in the pre-relationship stage. But what I arguably enjoyed even more was how you had touched on the fact that Sakura's feelings weren't as potent as Itachi's - yes, thank you, she had /just/ found out about his feelings after all and he's never really been on her radar until recently. So, so many stories have done the opposite and it just makes me sigh in relief when I see this level of sensibility.

The only part that truly bothered me was the rant letter. I know it's supposed to show Sakura (and by extension, the audience) how his fondness for her goes beyond shallowness but shaming other women to do so isn't the way to go (ex: more exotic than their dime-a-dozen beauties). I know in our society, it's very common to make others feel better by comparing their uniqueness to another's blandness but honestly speaking, every individual has something about them that makes them an 'individual' - even the ones whose conventional beauty are the only aspects that others choose to focus on. Also, I don't think Itachi would use 'monster' as a term of flattery for someone he's trying to woo. Even if he had meant it in the context of how some others may view her.

All in all, for a first fanfic, I can tell your writing influences are pretty top-notch. Sure, there may be some blips but for the most part, your characterization was very close to on track.
