That was one of the best young royai stories I ever read!

I cant believe is done...All the promises they've made...were just...a beautiful distant dream. And after he left for the last time,damn it,he changed so freaking much...I'm screaming to myself why wouldn't he write to her again? JUST WHY? She wanted that and he just..was he scared? WAS HE GODDAMN SCARED TO NOT HURT HER?(if there was a way to teleport in the story I would go there and punch him) UUGGHHH God help me ...you know,is just ...SAD...very damn sad...but I think the ending is good,not at an emotional level,because this story was an roller coaster of emotions,the angst was real af,but there was love too...*sigh* Your writing is incredible,like you put so many meanings and emotions in each word you write,its incredible! This story will remain in my mind for a long time...

Can I just say how amazing this story was? It was so beautifully written, so in depth and deliciously long. I was kinda late to the party and only started reading this a week ago. I devoured chapters everyday, sometimes staying up until very late. I have never been so hooked, on obsessed with a fanfiction before. This was incredible.

This should be canon, it was so perfect. I loved the characterization and how their friendship/relationship developed. It was so bittersweet, so perfect. Every time I read a Royai fanfic, I immediately think of this as their past. In my mind, this is canon. You have written canon!

As someone who gets bored fast writing her own fics, I think it's fantastic how you stuck with the story. I didn't see the end coming. I thought it would be a more happier ending but the way that you wrote it was so perfect and ahhhh, the feels.

I love this pairing and love what you have written. You are amazing.

I just spent a good portion of my day curled up on my couch reading this, and it's an amazing fic!
The first half was so cute and sweet, and young Royai were so adorable and in character
Then, after Roy got kicked out, MY HEART LITERALLY BROKE FROM THE ANGST. THE TATTOO ON RIZA'S BIRTHDAY, THEN NOT KNOWING WHETHER OR NOT SHE COULD TRUST ROY, THEN DECIDING TO JOIN THE MILITARY
AND THEN THE EPILOGUE. THE FREAKING EPILOGUE. I'M CRYING, AND THIS IS NOT OKAY BECAUSE ROY AND RIZA USED TO BE SO YOUNG AND SWEET AND NOW THEIR DREAMS ARE SHATTERED (JUST LIKE MINE)
But overall, this fic is amazing and fantastic and I completely loved it. Everyone was so in-character the entire time, and this fits so well with canon that it probably should be canon.

Oh, god, it's over. I loved this story and I'll miss reading each chapter having no idea what was going to happen next. I enjoyed it very, very much.
The ending was totally unexpected. I had imagined it would be either about their encounter in Ishval, or even after that, when she's already working under him. Given that most of this story was happy and romantic, despite the few more obscure topics and the drama, I was very surprised to see such angsty ending. However, this fits perfectly into canon, and I love it very much because of it. A lot of things make sense, starting with Riza's "Do you remember me?" (quote changes with manga/anime/dub) when she first sees him in Ishval. I don't want to think too much about it because it breaks my heart, but knowing the same happy kids who went from best friends to lovers are going to go through all of that, is really so sad.
Anyway, I haven't done anything these past few days other than reading this fic. I love it, you're one of my favorite authors and I'd love to read more from you. I can see how big of an effort this took, and how long a time; you deserve a bear hug and a huge thanks for entertaining me with such precious story. Congratulations on finishing it, which I know wasn't easy. Reading it was so worth it.
