Wow. Okay. This review is well overdue... Like you, I've had crazy amounts of school work and the update email from fanfictionnet somehow got buried under a load of school emails. But anyway, here I am! Very glad to see Mephiles properly show up on Sonic's side of the story, have to say. That conversation at the start, when Mephiles just kinda starts talking to Sonic and being all vague and stuff...teeense!

Anyway. Mephiles continues to be creepy as, but it's real nice to see his plot weaving so well between the two sides of the story. It's really cool, as the reader who knows both sides of the story, when the characters only know one...!

Also the conversation between Sonic, Tails, and Knux about the events of Sonic 06 has now officially become one of my favourite moments in this fic. "Things happened." OH BOY, you don't know the half of it! xD And I dunno if it's because I'm a serious Knuxouge shipper...but was that concern that Knuckles showed towards Rouge...? As in, proper "I'd-care-if-she-were-hurt" concern? Because that makes me very very happy xD

It also makes me very happy to see Sonic going out looking for Shadow. He's sorta in the wrong universe, but it's the thought that counts, no? xD Anyway, another great chapter, and I await the next one! xx

Ooooooohhhh, Shadow's starting to figure it ouuuuuuut! I wonder how much longer it'll be until Shadow realises just to what extent Mephiles has screwed up his reality since he's been gone... Even more, I wonder what he's gonna do. Probably nothing good. Mephiles, be scared. xD

Anyway, brilliant chapter! Loved the fight scene - pretty intense, and the image of Terios and Shadow struggling to fight as a team is probably gonna have me giggling at random moments for the next couple of weeks. :P Kinda worried about where Terios has got to...part of me is worried that Mephiles might have done some real, unseen damage to him...I hope he's okay!

Also that little (okay, not so little!) attack on Shadow...damn, I was scared for him. The way you described it was so good - really concerning to imagine how it must feel, being drained of your life force like that...*shudders*

Anyway, great chapter, and I look forward to the next one! :D

Aw man and just when it was getting good! I have to say this has actually been a really great story to read and I can't wait for you to continue. I hope that you are planning to continue it, there aren't a lot of great stories anymore so yours is a relief to see.

I'm not gonna lie, I spend this ENTIRE chapter on the edge of my seat and trying to calm down. At every mention of goo or Mephiles, I was like "OH MY GOSH SOMETHING BAD IS GONNA HAPPEN SOMEONE'S ABOUT TO DIE!", and...well... xD

I can't believe Sonic freed Mephiles from the container! That was...really not a good move. Still, it means that Mephiles can now fulfil all his stalking and murdering needs, so I guess that's...good? xD It's just leaving me even more pumped for the next chapter. WOOOO!

Also you share Sonic's and Eggman's birthday?! That is seriously cool, and I am jealous! xD Happy late birthday! And that shameless Sonic Nextgen reference. Hell yes. This was a good chapter. xD

Oooooh boy, they teleported with Mephiles! xD You sure know how to keep ramping up the tension. xD This *really* doesn't look like it's gonna bode well for Shadow/Terios, and I'm looking forward to seeing how exactly they plan to get out of this one!

Mephiles's reappearance managed to creep me out a lot. That moment where he said Shadow's name, so subtly that nobody except Shadow/Terios understood...*shudders*...I dunno, it's the small ways in which he shows his almost total control over their situation that manage to freak me the hell out! You write him well. xD

Oh yes, and the start bit! It was nice to see inside Terios's thoughts for once. The "dreams" (if I can call them as such) are always interesting, mostly because it's strange to see Terios and Shadow interact as separate beings. I like the differences in Terios's backstory, too. Sad that he lost Maria as well, but interesting to know that he didn't experience the whole falling-from-space-now-has-amnesia thing that Shadow went through...

One last thing I feel like I need to mention: I was re-reading over some of this story's earlier chapters, and I have to say that your writing has improved tons! It was always good, but these more recent chapters have been very vivid, with just the right balance of description and dialogue. I love it! Xx

Well this chapter has taken me on a slight rollercoaster! xD First of all...SILVAZE! Yes, I know that conversation could be taken as platonic, but I ship Silver and Blaze with the burning intensity of around ten suns so that first section had me smiling like an idiot at my screen!

Then Tails and Espio. I'm glad Espio's here - I like that guy a lot, and I agree with Tails when he says that they need someone down-to-Earth (Mobius?) and practical to help them.

Also I'm glad to see that Sonic's finally realised that he left Tails alone with the Mephiles-goo. I spent most of the part of this chapter with Tails anxiously expecting Mephiles to emerge and do something not so good...glad that hasn't happened...yet. xD

Anyway, another great chapter (honestly, you must be so bored of hearing me say that every single time!). See ya next time!

Okay, that cliffhanger was mean! I hope Nails is okay, though for some reason I have a feeling she's not. Poor Shadow - that guy can't afford to lose yet another version of Rouge...especially when he doesn't even know yet about what happened to Team Dark..

Anyway, ramblings aside, I'm gonna do my usual now and tell you this: don't worry about the update time! Real life can be an ass sometimes, not leaving enough time for fanfic writing, but seriously, it's fiiiiiine! And I took ages to review this time, so we're even! xD

Have I mentioned how much I love the way you write interaction between Terios and Shadow? It's such a unique idea, Plus, seeing all the subtle differences between their characters, despite them being technically the same guy...it's just all SO cool!

And thank you so much for not killing off Venice! I was convinced that he died back in Chapter 13...nice to see he's gonna be okay. :) I like that little dude!

Anyway, onto the review! Eggman and Sonic at the start was great. I loved how you described that irritability between them. Those guys don't seem to like working together too much...! Still not 100% sure that Eggman's actually gonna help them out though...I agree with Tails's first point - this just calls "trap" to me! XD

Mephiles's "introduction". That was cool. Very original, how you introduced him as goo at Eggman's base. I've never seen anything like that and I've read a fair amount of fanfic! xD So yup, major creativity points for you there! Although after what happened in chapter thirteen, I'm super scared for Sonic and Tails...

And ooooh god, all the feels came back when you reminded me about what happened to Team Dark! :,( I love those guys...I hope that, by some highly unlikely miracle, they're still okay!

Holy Chaos, Mephiles is really getting serious! This was probably my favourite chapter yet - it was super long and had LOADS of cool moments! I love how Terios and Shadow are having to come to terms with each-other. It's really awesome!

Did Venice die at the end? I couldn't tell if he did or not...if so, awwwww...he was way too cute to die!

But no, congratulations on updating so quickly - just in time for the anniversary of Sonic Nextgen (I agree with you, seriously underrated game. I love Nextgen...)

With the epic cliffhanger end, I shall await a new (and hopefully quick!) update!

I think you story is very interesting. Other than little things I think that you should continue. I like the suspence that is starting to build up. But I don't like having to only get one point of view ethier Shadow's or Sonic and friends but thats not that bad I just think you should go back and forth with each in each chapter. Keep going I'll be waiting!
