This was absolutely wonderful! You have given the Dunlendings history, culture, and honour. In my mind, I have placed this story alongside LOTR, The Hobbit, and The Silmarillion. A piece of history long overlooked has finally been told - thankyou for telling it.

Great job with this story! I've always wondered about the Dunlendings, and TBH I've always felt kind of bad for them. They really take the shaft from everybody, don't they... This was a very enjoyable fic. :)

This is quite good. Your descriptions are beautiful and your plot line compelling. I have always had a soft spot for the Dunladings and am liking your Saxonish take on them so far. You battle scenes are very well done as is your characterization. Interested to see where you take this.

One for the action, the other for the need of breaking the cycle of vengeance.
As well as wonderful musings on why Minas Tirith in Dunland was not possible.

Quite nice. Shows the shit situation Dunland is - getting its eastern lands back means opening themselves to orc attacks. Sharkey offered help with the Srawheads AND protection from orcs. Seem he did not deliver on the latter ...
Bravo on cunningly giving a pretext for the canonical gift of the whole Enedwaith.
At least I've come across mention of this somewhere ...

Enjoying it. Just a quick note on a typo - fourth paragraph, "feint haze" should be "faint haze." You have that mix-up on feint/faint a couple of times in this story.
