I cried reading that story. I never cry!

Sorry, I just had to say that. Heh, This story was so sweet and angsty I loved it! I felt so many emotions from this, man! I felt so bad for Makoto and then I felt bad for Haru... It was... It was just crazy.

Crazy I tell you.

But it was a good crazy so liked it!

Oh gosh I know that I've reviewed twice before this is my proper review now that I've finished it. (Yes I'm annoying and review in the middle of stories.) I thoroughly enjoyed this story, and I was having such a horrible day today and this just let me cry it all out, and I'm very grateful for that. (Another way I'm weird.) It was beautifully written, and I am in awe of your writing skills and the passion I can hear in your words. Even though I cried so much it hurt, it's what I needed right now and thank you so much for writing a wonderful story.

Oh my god, like woah wow what I can't even begin to express how fricking amazing and heart touching this is like it made me full on cry and everything. This is one of the best fanfictions I have ever read.

OMG! YOU MADE ME CRY A RIVER!

I almost never cry when reading stuff like this, but just...little kids having to learn and understand death just always sucks.

Man, I remember that storm. We were in the downstairs closet all night! That is a bit ironic though!

(OOC: It's funny how I was just talking to you on gmail...never realizing that you wrote this story and yet I was going to review this. XDD)

Anyway so here's what I was thinking...

I love darker stories...like such a story that is tragic or even something incredible really makes a team come closer together. Yes of course it's sad that the team didn't get to do much with swimming but reading this story allowed them to be much much closer in ways that contrast (and perhaps compare) the anime.

Seeing Father Tachibana (amnesia, right?) not remembering his family really shocked me to the core as I would have never expected him to go off like that to any of his children and wife (quite a nice twist there).

After seeing Ran's death...I was just horrified to see such a beautiful young girl in my mind now going away from the story but I knew that the others would make it out alive...after all, they were a "team" even in the darkest times no matter what happened to each other. And knowing that Rin has even realized what he has done to Gou made me almost shed a tear since this gave him an opportunity to be closer to his friends and his sister.

And poor Makoto throughout the storyline (even Haruka and the others too of course) for having to suffer such a tragic fate for their beloved town and family. But I am glad that they puled it through and at least there is hope for a better future. :)

Thank you so much for making me learn Free! in a darker way that I could not have expect. _
