Loved this chapter. Like the first, you have totally captured what makes the Abbie-Ichabod partnership so fun to watch and read about. I love that you chose to portray him as knowing rather than naive when it came to hookers/camp followers. That's much more realistic. I loved his fascination with and appreciation of the lipstick tube. Really great writing here. I certainly hope you are inspired to add more vignettes to your collection. Thanks for sharing.

I LOVE this - it's a simple scene, but the dialogue (and the feelings beneath it) are perfect. I especially loved the juxtaposition of Abbie's laughter vs. her actual feelings, as well as how quickly Crane picked up on it. Really solid first chapter. And now Imma read the second! ;)
