I love this story so much every time I read it. I like how Sam noted his cumulative knowledge about Dean's deaths and the risks, the horrors, he'd already witnessed. Sam's desperation and despair is heartbreaking and Dean's caring hurts even more given the circumstance. The ending was lovely little breather for Sam.
