You know all those times when something really terrible happens, but the Doctor's companion doesn't realise? Like with Donna, she's jumping around using his mind and he's just standing there, staring at her, face blank, and you just know that something terrible has happened, or is about to happen. That scene was sort of the opposite, like he was jumping around thinking he was great but everyone else knows that something terrible has happened. That is such a powerful scene. Ten was such a powerful incarnation, but all along he kept his own rules, as though he knew that if he ever broke them the universe would take revenge. The Time Lord Victorious. You can tell that he's thinking about saving everyone then, doing all the things his rules stopped him from doing, and Adelaide is such a hero because she stops him. She takes her own life to protect everyone's future. You wrote his thoughts so brilliantly, his triumph, and fear, and then that final realisation that he can never control people, and they will always stop him. Somehow they know that they have to, that sometimes the most important thing is to stop the Doctor from going too far.

Oooohh, chilling. You captured his thoughts really well - as usual, great writing on your behalf. It could be hard for some writers to fully understand this scene because it's such a U-turn for Ten. For a moment he lets out his darker side and is once again reminded of the consequences of that. You do it brilliantly.
