That was a sad scene, but also heartbreaking and beautiful! You wrote this scene so beautifully, with details that gave me the impression that I was seeing it right before my eyes, just like a movie scene:) I think that Stefan's declaration to Elena says everything about how his life will feel from now on - incomplete; even if he is trying to move on. And he is right: they could have been amazing together!.

Thank you for writing these two missing scenes!:) They give more perspective to their relationship before they admitted loving each other. They surely have come a long way!

That, for me, was certainly an unexpected ending to the story! I don't know what to start with - maybe the contrast between Katherine's happiness at being a future mom again, and Elena's total unhappiness at being one. The idea of having them one after another in this chapter, without any other scene or characters in between, was amazing!

But I must say that I totally understand why you chose this ending for our favorite couple. It would have been too beautiful and fairy-tale-like to give them a happy ending. Given everything that happened between them, I couldn't quite see a happy ending for them (even though I would have liked one).

I totally understand Elena. Depression is not something you can control, ignore, or make disappear. I understand why she had to leave. This chapter teaches us one of the most painful truths of life, one that we don't like to acknowledge, namely that sometimes love is not enough to save us from ourselves and our inner demons. It is something that is hard to understand, and I think Stefan really has a hard time understanding that, which is normal. My heart broke for both of them:(

The letters were beautiful - Elena is very wise and has a warm heart, I love how she explains that her leaving Stefan and Ben is not their fault, and that she will always love them more than anything. They brought some tears to my eyes:)

And I appreciate that you gave us closure on Klaroline also:) The scene between Stefan and Klaus was very moving for me!

Thank you for this beautiful story! I did not expect to like it so much:) And that was because you wrote compelling and beautiful characters, and because the story, although a whirlwind romance, has a lot of realistic touches. Thank you for all the time and hard work you put in writing it!

Very beautiful chapter! It's a little bit nostalgic to see Damon and Stefan selling their business (for which they worked years and years), but, from what I read, it will be in good hands:)

Damon and Katherine and Izzie are a lovely family! I loved the scene at the beach (Damon building a castle with his daughter, that was a nice image!)

And a very emotional scene at the end between Stefan and Damon, a scene that probably rarely happened between them. Stefan as a first-time father is very sweet!

Great chapter! Damon and Katherine are fun, such a great couple! That short moment in her conversation with Stefan where she tells him that she misses him, that was so cute!

Now Stefan and Elena...I love their playful conversations, and how well they know each other, and how comfortable they are with each other; they seem to get along so well, and to love each other very much, although I notice that sometimes Elena can't believe that Stefan has changed, and Stefan is still sorry for the way he treated her. And the proposal...that was so sweet!

A chapter with only Elena and Stefan is always welcome. They were so funny when arguing about the possible names for their baby!; and then Stefan teasing Elena about sex. The last part was beautiful, with them talking about the future, and about being in this together and figuring things as they come, and with Elena declaring her love for Stefan:)

So Stefan was researching baby names while Elena was taking a nap:) It is so good to see them like a married couple expecting their baby! I love how Stefan is changing so much - or maybe just revealing a side of him that he hasn't shown before!

Katherine and Damon are equally adorable:), although their dynamic is a little different from that of Elena and Stefan. Both Salvatore brothers seem to make very good husbands and fathers - Damon already is, and Stefan is a work in progress!

They both indeed changed, and for the better, I would say:) Elena is far from the girl in the previous chapters, she is not hiding that she needs Stefan. And Stefan is determined to be in her life, and in his son's life, and to prove to her that he has indeed changed. I loved the scene between the two of them - Elena is so sweet, and Stefan so tender, and none of them pressuring the other to do what they think it is right, but just wanting to know where they stand as a couple.

And the Katherine, Caroline and Klaus scene - so funny! I actually think that Caroline will be perfect for the job, let's not forget she has perfect organizational skills:)

A chapter with a beautiful ending. Elena and Stefan finally see each other after 7 months of avoiding each other (and their feelings). It is nice to see Elena realize that she has made a mistake in pushing Stefan away; and to see Stefan stop thinking that he is not good for Elena and that she is better off without him. The ending was so beautiful - you always manage to write the moments between them very beautifully:)

No, I don't think Stefan's change is due to the baby, I think he is just tired of everything (including of not letting himself feel love again), and he wants some peace and love in his life; and he also realizes that he could have that with Elena.

Both Elena and Stefan are stubborn, and like to suffer alone, haha! But it is good that Elena's mother stepped in! She is great! Now waiting for the time jump:)

I can only imagine Elena's turmoil in this situation! I love the conversation with Enzo, who seems a good and understanding man. And of course I love the conversation between Elena and Stefan:) Elena is acting in-character (in my opinion), she is her selfless self by not wanting to burden Stefan (not that her approach is the best, though). And Stefan...he seems to improve chapter by chapter, I can see the good influence that Elena has had on him, and I love that he tells her that he loves her! At the end of the chapter he seemed so...lost. Both him and Elena seem lost, actually. I just hope their situation will improve.

And I also enjoyed seeing Katherine keeping her promise to help Jenna; and the dynamic between Damon and Stefan (the brief scene between them at the end). One can always tell who the big brother is!

The relationship between Katherine and Stefan continues to be lovely:) I love how she tells him that he is not actually working, but drowning in work, and that he needs to talk to Elena. And of course, Katherine cannot sit there and do nothing, she needs to take matters into her own hands!:)

The phone conversation between Elena and Stefan is lovely. I was able to feel how much they miss each other, they are actually miserable without each other. It is nice to finally see Stefan admit to Elena that he is falling in love with her, and to hear them both express how much they miss each other:)

And the revelation at the end of the chapter..., that was certainly a big surprise! Hopefully this will make them realize they need each other, and Stefan to take matters into his own hands and assume his responsibility for this situation.

In a way, I couldn't wait to read this chapter, because I wanted to see how Stefan and Elena are doing without each other. It is clear that none of them is happy, and I really liked how you wrote that:)

The scene between Katherine and Stefan, haha! I love their banter! But I also love that Stefan finally admits he is in love with Elena:) And after the meeting with Lexi, when Katherine says that she is going to need therapy after spending time with Stefan, lol!

I enjoyed reading this chapter! I like how you write Damon and Katherine (both as a couple - they are lovely! - but also as individual characters), and I also enjoy Klaus and Caroline. It was so nice to see Klaus and Caroline worried about Stefan, and to hear Klaus saying that Damon and Stefan are more of a family to him than his real family ever was. Klaus saying that Stefan is like a brother to him, and the fact that he wants to protect him because he was in the same kind of situation as Stefan - that was touching:)

And I think that Klaus described Rebekah perfectly, referring to her as "destructive," "not genuine" and "heartless." I wonder if Rebekah will change for the better in the following chapters, I would love to see that, especially because I loved her character in the show. I doubt that will happen, still it would be nice to see that for her character.

And Klaus in your story is what I imagined human Klaus to be: confident, charming, but also affectionate and protective. You have done a good job with his character!

And Elena and Stefan - I loved their scene at the end of the chapter. They are tragic, just like in the show, but for different reasons. He was too hurt to want to feel again for another person, but still he can't help falling in love with Elena. And he thinks he is not good for her. And Elena is a passionate character who feels everything. They are heartbreaking.
