Interesting story. I always empathised with the person who was bullied. Carrie was the first story of Steven King's that I had seen and is along with The Stand my favorites. I agree with you that Carrie2- The Rage was not very good at all. Sequels are hard to do I find most awfull. Yours was not. I liked how you mixed the history in the previous material as a building block for the story. Like most I found high school something to be endured you couldn't pay me enough to go back (shuddering at the thought of it). In your story as in real life bullies unfortunatly do not learn from the past and it can repeat.
On a lighter note this is the perfect time of the year for stories like this. I wonder what you'll think of the new version of Carrie. I haven't seen it. I do think the original is and most likely will be the better one. If Carrie had been written today it might have been more like your story. Science has come a long way and the gore quotient in things has as well. I hope you will continue to write more in the future.
