This fic was intense! I found myself despondent as Bella traipsed through bitter rejection and depression to reach Jake. Jake was no better himself. Although he was a master of lashing out and flaying himself. This certainly was no fairy tale. But I think they did get their happily ever after. Happiness looks like different things to different people. I think this was the perfect ending for this pair. Great work.

I am reading this for a second time and it hasn't even been 3 months. I just have to say how much I love this story and the way you write. It's so believable, all the intricate thoughts, feelings, expressions, touches. I love the focus on the way the wolves have to touch, the family, the possession. And the torture everyone goes through, its so raw. The way you write Bella makes her into a real character and she is so relatable (I too am a 28-year-old addicted to alcohol, nicotine, and full of regret but trying to do better). This is just the best god damned thing I have read in years.

I finished this story in just a few days. After the first chapter, I didn't think I was going to like this story since I wasn't used to reading stories where I downright hated Jake's character for how he treated Bella. That being said, the angst and darkness made this story all the more better in the end. I commend you on your beautiful use of imagery all throughout. It seems like you really put your heart and soul into this story ~ Bravo

This is without a doubt the best Twilight fanfiction I have ever read! It was so real and emotional and captivating. It was funny and sad and sincere and so heartwarming. I loved the way you wrote everyone, the pack dynamic, the- everything. This has been so much fun to read.

So I've read this one maybe a dozen or more times. I love it. I seriously love it. It's not often I can re-read a fanfiction as much as I have this one.
I love the way you've portrayed the characters. I love how it's not all rainbows and sparkles. I love how its real.
I love how it's not ended with 2.5 kids and a picket fence with their happily ever after as well. And that Jacob isn't suddenly magically better after spending so long without his imprint. I love the way you write as well. It's easy for me to follow and its gripping.
