Yes, absolutely, I focused on that scene, as well. You have done a wonderful job of showing Gibbs as the man in the middle between Franks and Dinozzo, and the fabric of his relationship with both.

Oh most definitely Gibbs has to make more than 'some things' up to Tony! He's been positively shitty to him for years. I felt your story was introspective from Gibbs point of view and just hope that we can begin to see more of the Gibbs from earlier seasons on the show. I thought the headslap he gave Tony on Tuesday's show was way too harsh, really sounded like it hurt. That was not a 'wake up DiNozzo' or 'get back on track' smack. It was plain nasty. Did some research on the last time Gibbs called Tony, Tony on the show. Way back in season 7 in Flesh & Blood, 3 times in one scene! Like to see more of this, maybe another chapter..a glimpse of what kind of things Gibbs could do to make up to Tony after the way he's treated him for the past 4 years? And how would Tony cope with the attention? Now that's food for thought.
