I'm partial to your Sherlock, he's perfect. That said, I love that you wrote a companion piece for Declarations, and I love that it's Joan.

Aw. Nice restraint. I think there's a huge chance that it would go this way if they ever chose to cross that bridge. It would've a lot to process for Sherlock and he is who he is. And in the end he reaches out to her. Maybe there will be more and maybe there won't either way they're ok. That's kind of wonderful :) x

Love that there are no swelling violins or fanfare here- its not them but just holding hands quietly, being there to let each other know how much they mean to the other. In a way it's more romantic than all the bells and whistles. :) x

Aw this is 's Sherlock has a playful wickedness to him that's kind of charming and Joan's Sherlock sulking amuses no end. Also, I thought the image of Sherlock carrying Joan to bed was so sweet it almost killed me. Your writing here is really richly imagined- your descriptions of Sherlock's smell and the textures of his shirt, skin and hair are so vivid. Love it :) x

Silences rather than certainties. Or, much more certain than I would be in that situation. I find Joan's POV more intriguing than Sherlock's.

Ooo your Moriarty is so venomous that she makes your blood run cold. Wonderfully managed. Joan is her match here not just because of her intelligence but because of her caring. She matches M's ice with her warmth. Great contrast :) x

This companion fic to Declarations is very very nice to read, especially since we didn't get much insight into Joan's thoughts in the previous fic. I do love how her mind works, it's so different from Sherlock's

I am definitely liking this fierce Joan. And I love the way she refers to Sherlock as MY Sherlock.

I'm loving this side of the declarations story. It was so easy to hear Benedict Cumberbatch's voice in chapter three as I was reading. Seductive to the ears indeed.

First, I see that you've posted a new story, then I find a shout-out for my "Declarations" review in your opening notes. It's a Joanlock double rainbow!

It's really something, though, the way you draw out a good story in addition to populating the interiors, the unspoken places in these characters, with such restraint and grace. No OOC gushing, not even for my beloved Watson Regina, hair tossing champion of no-fuss lifesaving.

I do gush, though, so have a bit more: I enjoy your work so much. Declarations, Torchlight, Vintage Heart (because Sherlolly is also my fave), and now this piece are such gems. All that's missing is a Clyde/Lettuce fic from Angus' POV. Then you've won all the awards.
