Oooohhhh James Gaunt yesssss! I love this analogy! It has so much meaning because he was once a pirate. He drains people of their money and will kill to get his agenda. Blood money and so much more. Good job, I love it!

It's hard to find thoughtful/reflective fics (especially for smaller fandom groups like Deltora Quest), so this was a very pleasant surprise. :D

Besides the fact that your poetry writing is excellent, I think what I love the most is the tone and how closely it matches the canon - whether or not that was intentional, it fits perfectly and just suits the series very, very well.
