Data Seeker chapter 1 . 5/24/2017
Hi

This is a nice fic. When I saw the title/summary I suspected it would be unappealing but decided to give it a chance. But what you did was great.

The basic plot with Jane still adjusting to life in the jungle was good. She isn’t a weakling but not close to Tarzan’s level.

The quality is good in many ways: good narration, interaction, dialog, suspense, drama, complexity and scope. I do think some of the writing is rough and needs work though.

Tarzan and Jane’s characterizations are excellent. You captured their thoughts and emotions very well.
Jane has evolved from a proper lady- who doesn’t fit into the jungle at all- but still learning. Her insecurities are believable and full of depth and scope.
Tarzan is great too. It’s great how he is remarkably ignorance of words and definitions, but he means well and cares deeply for Jane.

The wholesome standards are high.

The language is clean.
Nothing is suggestively offensive.
No extreme violence or any other vile content.

I hope this review brightens your days. God bless

P.S. your author note said you plan to make a series. But plans can change. So what are your plans exactly?
xxxDreamingflowerxxx chapter 1 . 10/12/2016
It's so cute it's so accurate! I've always wanting to read something about Jane struggling to adjust. How does she withstand the fact that there's no privacy in the jungle, she can't take a shower in a bathroom, because there are none. No vanity products, perfume, or woman hygiene products... I always wondered how'd she deal with that. Also you're so spot on with their characterisation, reactions and all.

Despite everything Tarzan has learnt from Jane, his mind is pretty much still similar to a Gorilla's. So many human emotions, expressions and whatever other things we struggle with, are completely foreign to him. His innocence is so pure and sweet. It's one of the Hingis that captivated me when I watched Tarzan again as an adult, his expressions, his movements. Those puppy eyes he gave to Jane when he asked her to stay.

Many writers tend to forget the small, but important details of characterisation which makes their stories OoC. But you've done a marvellous job, I really hope to read more of your Tarzan stories and I'd really love to see this turned into a one-shot series.
Hathor-Aroha chapter 1 . 9/17/2016
This is fantastic! I really enjoyed reading it from start to finish, and both Jane and Tarzan seem to be perfectly in character. I think the best thing about this story is how you obviously thought a bit about some of the downsides of living in the jungle, and how Jane has to cope with such things. The ending was so sweet too, and made my heart warm and fuzzy!
POIphantomgirl chapter 1 . 4/11/2016
This is absolutely beautiful! I loved it! You capture Tarzan to the t. The way he spoke English, it was very believable. And then when he tries to prove himself to her, by saying "Tarzan is strong," uggh so cute. He is such an innocent sincere character and you had the heart of him in the this story. He is so caring towards her. But you also mastered Jane b/c she is awkward. I love how she tried to explain what a burden is and how she is learning to deal with Tarzan's optimism and his simplicity. I could see her having doubts. You can tell throughout the movie Tarzan's attention and fascination with her is foreign to her and knowing that she is the first and only female Tarzan has seen, its understandable that she would have doubts. "Jane is perfect." Says it all. Thanks so much for this! It was great.
A chapter 1 . 2/7/2016
Awwwww! This was so sweet, and I think you nailed their characters perfectly, especially Tarzan's. You also did really well on Tarzan's dialog and his particular way of speaking. Don't know how I haven't found this story before when I'd looked through the list, but I'm thankful as it was very good.
The Animanga Girl chapter 1 . 7/1/2015

BookishBatReads chapter 1 . 4/27/2014
This is a very cute story and, in my opinion, more accurately portrays what life would be like for Jane in the jungle. I loved Tarzan's reaction to her "burden" questions as well. ;D
Minirowan chapter 1 . 12/19/2013
This was adorable! I loved every moment of it! Tarzan was absolutely adorable whenever he opened his mouth or touched Jane, and Jane's insecurity gave this story a good theme.
Jeannette Hetfield chapter 1 . 12/4/2013
This was so cute. I loved your one shot. It makes perfect sense that Jane would be feeling a little out of place. I'm on a Tarzan binge right now too. I hope to see more of this!
Tell me you're still you chapter 1 . 11/2/2013
