This chapter has everything. Klaus praying for the woman he loves and their child. Damon's emotions likely all over the place from sadness, confusion, frustration to shock. Klaus needed to calm himself down. Threatening bodily harm to those helping Bonnie wasn't sensible. Bonnie also wouldn't appreciate his behavior. I give Damon credit for sticking around and then providing blood to Antoinette for Bonnie's baby whenever she calls. When did Bonnie and Damon become best friends in this timeline as they didn't go to the prison world together?

Antoinette is the friend that Bonnie always needed, but never had. She was good for the vampires in Bonnie's life. She's very protective and actually reminds me of Bonnie. Finally Bonnie has a friend that values her life. Antoinette doesn't seem upset about Bonnie's ruse of being engaged to Elijah. She didn't seem shocked at Bonnie and Klaus being lovers (perhaps Bonnie told her at some point). Even if she is surprised she's not letting it stop her from saving Bonnie and her baby's lives. She's even been at her bedside for fourteen days. I hope Bonnie stays in NOLA and she and Klaus take the city back from Marcel. The witches will no longer be ruled by a tyrant refusing to allow them to practice their craft if Bonnie and Klaus take over.

What did Bonnie do that has the witches upset, though not Antoinette and her family apparently? It's been awhile since I read this from the beginning and I'm missing something. Must have happened when Klaus was gone? These witches want to help her and consider her one of them which is a nice change for Bonnie. People don't tend to go the extra mile for her that she always does for them. Caroline and Elena can cry and do a memorial, but can't be bothered to contact witches to see if Bonnie can be brought back. She's saved them countless times and even brought Jeremy back to life. Damon's the only one worth keeping in her life as crazy as that sounds. He didn't give up. No wonder he's couldn't stand to be around the Scooby Gang and their negativity. Well, if Damon didn't know just how deep Klaus and Bonnie's relationship went he knows now. Pregnancy isn't something you can just ignore.

Bonnie's always worried about others. She actually put the witches that tried to kill her in a coma and the one that actually stabbed her to sleep! Why are they after her anyway? Do they think she's working with Marcel? She wasn't the only witch there that didn't stop him and his vampires. These witches don't deserve her help, screw them. Antoinette and some of her family perhaps, but to hell with the rest of them.

Why is Klaus so calm when he comes across a stabbed Bonnie? She could bleed out and his blood could potentially turn her which she'd hate. Was Damon attacking Bonnie with the crows or was it the witches? I'm assuming the latter because they clearly targeted her. So Klaus was pretending to be calm for Bonnie's benefit? Okay, but I think she knows this isn't looking good. Wow, Klaus acknowledging that Damon loves Bonnie or at least I think he did. They both love her and aren't going anywhere without a fight. I liked that Klaus admitted Bonnie is the most kind and loving witch, though I think he means as a person period. Telling her their story was touching. It was a reveal of the truth to not only her, but Damon. He just doesn't care at this point. He'll always protect her and be loyal to her. Hmm, well it's time to prove it.

I read every single chapter today and I love how everything has been going. I wish you the best and hope you are safe throughout everything that is going on right now. Hope you update soon!

Honestly, the consistent updates on this story are the ONLY reason I got back into reading fanfiction at all. Its been a nice reprieve from all the stress of everything outside, kinda like slipping into something familiar. Its good to see you writing again, never stop (fanfiction or otherwise).

Thank you for another chapter! I always go back to chapter 1 and read it again, when you post something new. It's sooooooo good! Looking forward to seeing Bonnie kick some ass, both Marcel's and Klaus's! Stay safe in these crazy times. Peace.

Bonnie understands she has abandonment yet she doesn't seem to see how unhealthy her relationships with her "friends" are. Even thinking of Stefan as a friend is a joke. A real friend wouldn't even contemplate killing you much less flip a coin to see if he or his brother get to do it. All Stefan and Damon worried about was who was going to be the fall guy to Elena, not the fact that they were taking a life and turning them into the very monster they one of them never wanted to be. Worse, they were turning a witch into the very thing they naturally hate. Stefan's no better than Damon. At least Damon gave a shit about Bonnie being gone and decided to do something about it. Not that that makes up for his deplorable behavior towards her to this point. A crush on Matt? Um, bizarre. Thank goodness she's realized she never loved Jeremy. Poor Bonnie, Damon was your sidekick not the other way around. She was always necessary to their plans to succeed.

Bonnie needs to work on her self esteem. I think it's shows just how kind and wonderful she is that she's come to thank Damon for looking for her and helping when Antoinette needed his blood. Damon, the person who cavalierly flipped a coin and killed her mother. This is the least he could do. Besides, Bonnie has never received a genuine thank you for all she's done from any of the MF gang except for Damon twice. They take her for granted and just expect her to sacrifice herself for them. That's why I didn't know what to make of Caroline and Elena being so upset that Bonnie was dead when she was heading that direction by constantly putting herself on the line for them. Once again, they never thought to do anything about trying to bring her back nor about any regrets or guilt.

Marcel's really a piece of work. He'll kill Bonnie will he? The witches that went after Bonnie are idiots. Marcel's the real enemy. Marcel has taken care of Davina, but he's used her to help himself. If Bonnie can take the magic of the other Harvest girls out of her Davina won't be as powerful. Not that Bonnie even needs to do that with her access to Expression. Once she gets her magic working properly again she and Klaus can kick some ass.

Bonnie being desperate to sacrifice herself is sad and I hope she sees how she needs to never do that again. She needs to come first especially with a baby on the way. I think she's going to save Elijah because he's Klaus's brother and he can help them to take over the city. Of course Bonnie's heard what Klaus has been up to when she was in a coma and I know she's not pleased. A good sign though is that she acknowledges she's madly deeply in love with Klaus. Not in the past tense. They need to come together and deal with Marcel so they can work on their relationship before the baby arrives.

Wow. So much happened and it seems like it is setting the stage for something bigger. I can’t wait for Bonnie to take on Marcels all powerful witch. It’s like everyone really discounts Bennetts every time. I am enjoying the way you are slowly winding the tension on all fronts. So glad you posted this.
