Anitajane chapter 1 . 8/1/2019 I am proud to read your wonderful story, it has hints of Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela and a bit of Ghandi. You have written an exceptional war memorial that will resonate in me for a long while |

mysinger chapter 1 . 3/9/2018 A lovely story, and one that brought me to tears. I loved that Harry was able to save the Wizarding world because Minerva saved him first. |
Lasciella chapter 1 . 11/12/2017 Great writing really well done. I really want to read your Mentalist stories too but I havent watched the series (saw part of the first a wile back, loved it) but I dont want to spoil the plot, or get lost in characters that I don't know. Your portrayal of Harry and McGonnagall is great, really well done. |

Dante 101 chapter 1 . 10/20/2016 Once again, the characters are so in character. The first thing that McGonagall had to acknowledge before Harry lowered his was that she chose to do nothing when he asked for her help. McGonagall is right: The truth was that every hero has their breaking point and Harry unfortunately is no exception. He all but gave up until McGonagall gave him a reason to remember to live. To keep going. I admit that was moving. You used the exact same speech that Harry said in "All That's Left Behind" and some of the scenes were taken in from that as well. I admit that I am a little disappointed in that. But at least it gives me the chance to say some things about the speech that I didn't mention before. Harry was right: The war was nothing more than all about choices and power. I kinda hate Fudge if that is a surprise to you. Why he lives is beyond me. So yeah, I'm not sorry when Harry attacked him rather harshly for his choice to ignore Harry when he mentioned that Voldemort had returned. He was embarrassed, but it was his fault entirely to choose to hide his head in the sand rather than do anything useful. Instead he just went through a huge smear campaign against Harry and Dumbledore and tried to control Hogwarts via Umbridge. It was easy to hide. It was hard to act and Fudge's actions made everything much worse and as a result, people died, and the reason the WW suffered and wasn't ready for the War by the time it started. The revelation that the man the Wizarding World feared so much that they shuddered to hear his name was nothing more than a man surprised a great deal of the crowd. As a man once said "Theatricality and Deception are powerful agents against the uninitiated". Still, the crowd seem to get the message. Still. As great as Harry's speech was, I don't honestly think that the Harry Potter of canon would say such things like the Harry of this story did. Harry doesn't himself forward like that. He doesn't crave attention, he shies away from it. He doesn't seek fame and he would never have considered himself the leader of the people who fought in the battle; he was just one of them who had a very specific role to play. He was prepared to sacrifice himself for all those people and to save the WW, but even after all of that, he would not have considered himself their leader in any way, nor would he think he had any more right to address them than anyone else. But that's just me talking. Still a great story though. |
jason.matthews.940436 chapter 1 . 8/25/2016 A pity that JKR herself may or maynot have read this story, but rest assured that I think it should have been included in the series of Harry Potter. Thanks. |
EriEka127 chapter 1 . 6/28/2015 Love it! |
Epeefencer chapter 1 . 6/19/2015 Very well done, I liked the strong purposeful Harry at the end, though I would have liked to see a little of Harry's love for his friends and especially Ginny shown too. I think that was one of his driving forces and deserved a mention. I hope you do more stories. |
CharmedArtist chapter 1 . 12/5/2014 Beautiful. And I don't think it was too long at all; splitting it up, in fact, would have ruined the flow of the story. I did just the same thing with my latest completed story, and it's longer than this one. And this was really, truly, simply beautiful. I'm crying :') |
