Nice tale, where Harry learns never to judge a book by its cover. Could be the start of a longer 'Harry begins to grow up' story. I've read a few stories lately where Millie is depicted in a more humane, kinder role, and it is a refreshing addition to the cast of characters normally found in HP fan fiction.

Wow - even your fanon-Harry is a Muppet. Dense, density...

I really appreciate this story. It isn't often we a human side to Slytherins. It has always bothered me that all Slytherins are depicted as being brutish and simple-minded. These are just kids who are sent to live at away from home during a weird and awkward period of life. They're going to be weird and awkward and make judgements about each other that are often wrong. And they will grow up and realize that maybe those judgements weren't right.

If you ever get the opportunity, I'd love to see this universe expand. I wouldn't hate a Harry/Millicent romantic pairing, but also think that this could also be a great set up to a solid friendship between two characters misunderstood by each other.

TBH I'd like to see this become more then a one-shot. It has a lot of potential for a Harry/Milicent fic, most people would say "Oh but she's described as looking like a troll in the books and is a right bitch" but so what? This is fanfiction so you can chance the whole being a bitch thing into a cover like you've done here, and why should every girl Harry gets paired with in Fanfiction be totally beautiful? I like the idea of Harry going for a girl whos personality he likes but thats just me I guess. Either way this was good I really liked it.
