i just want to start by saying, and this is sad but it needs to be said: thank you for not writing a story that is ragingly misogynistic toward sara and romanticizes ian's relationship with irons. much if the fandom treated sara as if she was just a hole that should be amenable to being banged by ian and were outraged when she would rebuff him and that carried over into fic, unfortunately. like, she's a cop- set literally everything else aside and it's still pretty easy to see why she would respond badly to a professional killer who follows her everywhere and stood aside and did nothing when her partner was killed. fandom was also big on, at the very same time they were losing their minds over sara calling him a freak, handwaving away irons' neverending abuse of ian and even sexualizing it.

you respect sara's humanity as a character and perfectly capture why sara responds as she does and you do it without judgement. it's impressive how in character you've written her. i really envy you the ability to do that. ian is also incredibly well-written here. the space you've made to explore his feelings, not just his devotion to sara but how he feels like an outcast, preferring to go out in public at night, etc. this chapter was especially heartbreaking. one of my biggest pet peeves about the show was never addressing irons' grotesque abuse of ian and i didn't expect to see it so well done in a fic. bravo.

you've done a great job of showing their connection, of how sara is drawn to ian and how they are often times on the same wavelength and how that makes her uncomfortable (something i saw in the show). really adds another layer.

Elizabeth mentioned she was a mistress of an SS officer. Is it to much to think the officer was colonel Claus von Stauffen? Architect of Operation: Valkyrie. The planned assassination of Adolf Hitler.

Could "Henry" actually be Merlin? And it was so cool of you to mention Excalibur. I first heard of that several years ago & I am still geeking out about it.

I just found this story a few days ago and I happened to look at Chapter 68 and I find that it's not finished. To say that I'm disheartened is an understatement. I see that it's been years since the story was updated, but I'd love to see it completed.

I'm watching Witchblade (the DVD collection) this weekend and it just seemed appropriate that I'd finish the story. I love the relationships you've built thoughout the story, at least through Chapter 53, since I'm still reading it. I hope to get through Chapter 68 tonight and I still hope to see more of it, because I hate when I start a story and can't finish it.

I hope this inspires you to take your muse to task and get back to the writer's desk. I hope that's not just wishful thinking on my part and that I'll see something from you soon.

Where are you, Dragongrrl? I have re-read your story and it is great! Are there any updates for us? I want to know is Sara carrying baby now? What would happen in Thanks-giving day? I hope you are living well and able to give us more!
