but seriously, this was incredibly written and I can absolutely see Spock and Kirk having another hand on hand salute /without/ the barrier.

I love this. You have no idea how much. This sums up really nicely what Jim learned through the entire experience, and also, what Spock came to accept. Amazing work.

Contests on your first Star Trek piece! A wonderful beginning to what I'm sure will be a long stay. I'm more of a Kirk/Bones gal myself, but I really enjoyed your portrayal of Kirk and Spock together. Kirk has so much doubt about everything: his life, its meaning, his ability to retain his Captaincy and to be successful once again, and of course his budding relationship with Spock. The way you integrated both their personalities into the storyline worked wonderfully, and it seems like you really "understand" where they're both coming from in this ongoing situation. Once again, great job.

I really enjoyed this. I liked the way you had Kirk open up to Spock, and the genuine honesty that flowed from both of them.

This was perfect, something I didn't even know I was looking for. It's one of those stories that makes your heart clench, like damn. I mean obviously they're soulmates. Beautifully written :)

So sweet, but not over the top. I've been wanting to read a fic where Kirk and Spock touch hands without glass in between them ever since I saw the movie. Thank for sharing.
