I truly love this! Despite how Kate is portrayed on the show, I can see her wanting to do something like this with Castle - and of course he's all for it. It's her sabbatical and she'll figure out where she wants to go from here. This is such a great scenario that I wish it was canon so we could at least get a couple of glimpses of them on this trip. I want to see them taking silly pictures of each other by bizarre road side attractions somewhere in the Midwest (like maybe world's largest ear of corn or something) and I want to see them on a wine tasting tour in Napa and then cruising down Hwy. 1 in Big Sur. Oh - and I'd REALLY like to see that apartment in DC for real. I want to live there myself! LOL I'm glad in your version that he's not selling it. It should be kept. Maybe one of their offspring will want to live there when they go to University. Thanks for writing and sharing another great story! (end of rambling review!)

I adore this take on post-Need To Know fic. I actually think it is my favorite, cause it deals not only with the immediate future, but with what will come after. The open possibilities they have in front of them and how, although we know what she's going to do on the show, you deal with more options. Open up their choices.
