Found this story completely by chance, and decided to give it a quick read. It hit all the right spots, and I really felt for Dennis. Dennis is one of those forgotten canon characters who almost never gets remembered by ff authors. I included him in my latest as an incidental character early on, he keeps making an appearance in the story, one of those people who just pop up occasionally

Merlin's beard this is sad! I loved it! I'd never actually thought much about Dennis Creevey until now. And I'd only ever thought of Colin Creevey as the super sad death of a little boy at the Battle of Hogwarts. Now I know that it was much, much more than that. Thank you.

Damn, that was one of the BEST Colin and Dennis stories that I have ever read on here. The last paragraph got me. Seriously. This was a really, really good oneshot and you made me all emotional.

This is so sweet and sad. I love the different point of view you've given of the battle; the family just at home, not suspecting anything, until they wake up and he's gone. Dennis's reaction in this was absolutely heartbreaking; I like that it's left a little open, too, and the different autopsy reports were a nice touch.

This is a really good story. You do a great job at portraying Dennis' feelings. I particularly like the section beginning with "Life went on, as much as it could".

I also like final report, particularly how the last line mirrors the muggle report.
