Brickbrain the retarted seal chapter 1 . 12/30/2013 The retarted seal approves! I give it 10000 bricks out of 10 bricks... :-3 But seriously, this was C-U-T-E! *Squeal* The ending was so adorable and I could see what you said between the lines... :-P I would love to read a fanfic with the plot of the idea you have. :-) Please keep working and write! |
0- Jougen-Knight -0 chapter 1 . 10/10/2013 I quite enjoyed this piece - it's a lovely fresh breath of air for me. Everyone was kept in character, and the dialogue in the conversations that were held flowed along so smoothly, which is a rather difficult feat. :D I quite like how we get some small details about what everyone else is doing, but it provides as a nice piece to a great puzzle. You may think and say that it's messy and all over place, but it didn't seem like that to me - it just shows the events being fast-forwarded, and the descriptions are rather simple and straight to the point, too, which works well in my opinion. :) also, I got a good chuckle out of certain parts (such as Nagisa talking about Rin's teeth, Haruka mentioning that Rin was swearing on the phone, Makoto still being scared of ghosts, Rei being so love-struck, etc.) I agree very much on that part of Haruka - despite the seemingly nonchalant expression, he cares about his friends very deeply, and their bonds affect him more than what is expected (e.g. Rin) - which hints at a bit of an emotional vulnerability. But there would be that one factor that remains in that upon graduation, he'd either have to try and adjust himself (because his friends, though they love swimming, are not as lovingly attached to the water as he is) or he'd end up losing them (not as in they'd get angry, but they may be far away from him distant-wise). Makoto is a sort of human emotional support for Haruka, and with him gone, it would definitely be of no surprise if Haruka were to break down - seeing as his parents don't ever seem to be home to support him that much. I'd personally be interested to see if the director would do such a thing - because it has the potential to show much more growth and development on Haruka's part. Well, I cannot imagine Haruka tackling Makoto, but hugging him tightly and not letting go - I can definitely see that. :) (Not a MakoHaru shipper by the way. XD) Either way, thank you again for this lovely piece, and keep on writing! :DDD Sincerely, HetaWriter/HetaReader |
Lady Natsuka chapter 1 . 10/8/2013 While the piece is a bit all over the place, it feels like it works better this way. Like no joke okay. I like how you went over the little bits of the life as well as small inserts of what the others are doing with their lives and the like. As well as the little conclusion at the end, where Haru mules over his life from then and now before settling into being content with his life. Also I agree with the idea that Haru would have a breakdown if Makoto left; I mean Makoto was really the only person that stuck to him for so long and just losing that person all the sudden would really make him feel lost. (btw shark teeth. It will always something to talk about.) |
